The Open is an English Five-piece indie rock band from Liverpool (Steven Bayley (vocals/guitar), Jon Winter (guitar), Jim Reynolds (bass), Roger Westwood (drums) and Alan Dutton (keyboards). Signed to Loog Records after a bidding war the band's first album was released in 2004 and entitled 'The Silent Hours'. Despite critical acclaim (Fly described them as 'Britain's Best New Band' and a mixture of The Cocteau Twins, Talk Talk’s ‘Spirit Of Eden’, The Verve and early U2) the album failed to reach a public more enthralled with the New York Art Rock styling that was popular at the time.
After a dispiriting tour, which saw the band playing smaller venues unsuited to their epic songs, drummer Scott leave and the ending of lead singers Steven Bayley's long term relationship the band entered into the studio to record their second album, 'Statues' which was released on 6th February 2006.
Heavily influenced Miles Davis Jazz and The Who's 'Tommy'-era mini opera's 'Statues' was released to even greater critical acclaim and could find itself a common feature in the upper echelons in this years end of year polls.
They split up in May 2006.

The Open Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Won't you tell me?
I was alright, up 'til tonight,
Now I've gone.
You can't stop thinking about her,
So long, you've been without her.
I can't even say, why they went away,
I don't know.
You can't stop thinking about her,
So long, you've been without her. (x2)
The lyrics to The Open's song Without evoke a sense of confusion and desperation as the singer struggles to understand why his partner has left him. The line "I can't understand, what's bring you down, Won't you tell me?" demonstrates the singer's frustration at not being able to comprehend what has caused his partner to leave. Despite the singer's attempts to soothe his partner with the suggestion to "come back to bed, and rest your head," the partner refuses to do so.
The repeated lines "You can't stop thinking about her, so long, you've been without her" suggest that the partner has been separated from her for a long time, and that her absence is taking a toll on both her and the singer. The repetition of this line is also indicative of the singer's feelings of helplessness, as he is unable to do anything to ease his partner's suffering.
The final line of the chorus, "So long, you've been without her," is particularly powerful as it conveys the depth of the partner's longing for her. This line is repeated twice, emphasizing how much her absence has affected both her and the singer.
Overall, the lyrics to Without convey a sense of sadness and heartbreak as the singer struggles to understand what has caused his partner to leave, and both he and his partner suffer in her absence.

Why so many negative comments I don't understand. If ever we face trouble opening the lock then this Youtuber gave us an idea. Thieves don't need to come here to get trained. They are far more better equipped and trained than these small tricks and tips. Thanks for your emergency help.🙏👌
