I know it's been too long
We used to be best of friends
But now we've grown apart
And I know the day will come
When you and I will meet you again
Maybe when you pass through town
It's too bad you moved away
But that's the way life goes
Did you change or still stay the same
I'd really like to know
The lyrics to The Undecided's song General Delivery describe the feeling of nostalgia and longing for a friend who has grown distant over time. The singer wonders when they will see their friend again, acknowledging that it has been too long since they used to be best of friends. The lyrics convey a sense of hopefulness that they will meet again someday, perhaps when the friend passes through town.
The song also expresses a sense of curiosity about how the friend has changed over time.
