It used to be right in front of you but now its gone
Ooooooo
It used to be right in front of you but now its gone
It used to be right in front of you but now its gone
Somebody better come speed up your heart cuz its DYING
Somebody better come speed up your heart cuz its DYING
Somebody better come speed up your heart cuz its DYING
Somebody better come speed up your heart cuz its DYING
It used to be right in front of you but now its gone
The Whigs's song "Dying in 2-3" seems to be about losing something that was once right in front of you. The repetition of the phrase "it used to be right in front of you but now it's gone" emphasizes the idea of something being lost or gone. The tone of the song is urgent, almost frantic. The repeated "oooooo" adds to the sense of desperation.
The chorus brings in another layer of meaning, with the lines "somebody better come speed up your heart cuz it's dying." This could be interpreted as a plea for help or an attempt to resuscitate something that is fading away. The idea of something dying is further emphasized by the repetition of the word "dying" in the chorus.
Overall, the lyrics of "Dying in 2-3" suggest a sense of loss and a desperate attempt to save something that is fading away. The song's urgent tone and repetition add to its emotional impact.
