Nova lica, scena ista
Vražje sile se trude
Da nas ne bude
Antikristi i masoni
Komunisti ovi, oni
Šire sotonske fraze
E, moj narode!
E, moj narode!
A mi gluhi, nijemi, slijepi
Svatko u svom mraku strepi
Narod biran od Boga
Guši nesloga
Iz povijesti naše slavne
A i ove ne baš davne
Sve smo što nam je vrijedno
Stekli zajedno
E, moj narode!
E, moj narode!
Uzmimo u ruke sudbinu i sreću
Ni ja više tako ne mogu i neću
Uzmimo u ruke sudbinu i sreću
E, moj narode!
E, moj narode!
Generacije junaka
Pobjednička vojska jaka
Još se brine i gine
Zbog Domovine
Sa nebeskih tih visina
Daj nam Bože opet sina
Da nas vodi iz bijede
Sve do pobjede
E, moj narode!
E, moj narode!
Uzmimo u ruke sudbinu i sreću
(Uzmimo u ruke sudbinu)
Ni ja više tako ne mogu i neću
(Ni ja više tako ne mogu)
Uzmimo u ruke sudbinu i sreću
E, moj narode!
E, moj narode!
(E, moj narode!)
(E, moj narode!)
Uzmimo u ruke sudbinu i sreću
(Uzmimo u ruke sudbinu)
Ni ja više tako ne mogu i neću
(Ni ja više tako ne mogu)
Uzmimo u ruke sudbinu i sreću
E, moj narode!
E, moj narode!
E, moj narode!
E, moj narode!
The lyrics of Thompson's song "E Moj Narode" touch upon themes of political and social struggles, as well as the unity and resilience of the people. The song begins by referencing the passage of time since the time of Christ, highlighting the presence of new faces but with the same scene and the devilish forces trying to suppress them. The mention of Antichrists, Freemasons, and communists suggests the presence of opposing ideologies that aim to defeat the people with their diabolical phrases.
The chorus "E, moj narode!" serves as a rallying cry, expressing a strong emotional connection to the people and their shared struggles. The verses emphasize the struggles faced by individuals, referring to them as deaf, mute, and blind, each fearful in their own darkness. The song portrays the people as chosen by God, hindered by disunity and internal conflict. However, it also speaks of the strength and achievements of the people throughout history, both in the glorious past and in more recent times, suggesting that they have overcome challenges and achieved valuable things together.
