što se neda
žegama divljim, olujama
i ja nikad ne dam se
kroz stvarnost lutam.
život moj je
poput hladne rijeke
iz nekog razloga ne znam
negdje ipak nestaje ohh
negdje ipak nestaje
Nisam sudac a ni mudrac
teško nosim to kamenje
tobre me sjećanja
na svojim leđima
gdje god dođem
kud god prođem
već je netko odlučio
u ime onoga
što nas je stvorio
a nije se borio
neću izdat ja
Boga nikada
neću gast' sunce koje s neba sja
neću zbog tebe
rukom na sebe
jer ti me voliš i ti se moliš
za mene
heeeheej
Neću izdat ja
Boga nikada
neću gasit' sunce koje s neba sja
neću zbog tebe
rukom na sebe
jer ti me voliš i ti se moliš
za mene
Neću izdat ja
Boga nikada
neću gasit' sunce koje s neba sja
neću zbog tebe
rukom na sebe
jer ti me voliš i ti se moliš
za mene
neću izdat ja
Boga nikada
neću gasit' sunce koje s neba sja
The song "Neću izdat ja" by Thompson is a powerful and emotionally charged ballad that speaks about staying true to oneself and holding onto one's faith, even in the face of adversity. The opening lines of the song, "Kao stjena što se neda, žegama divljim, olujama, i ja nikad ne dam se, kroz stvarnost lutam," translate to "Like a rock that withstands wild heat and storms, I too, never give up, roaming through reality." This sets the tone for the rest of the song, speaking to the singer's inner strength and determination.
The song's central theme is the struggle to remain steadfast in one's beliefs, despite the many challenges that life can present. The singer expresses that he is not a judge or a sage, and he carries the burden of memories and experiences with him wherever he goes. However, he is resolute and refuses to take the easy way out or betray his values, even if it means sacrificing himself. He sings, "Neću izdat ja Boga nikada, neću gasit' sunce koje s neba sja, neću zbog tebe rukom na sebe, jer ti me voliš i ti se moliš za mene," which roughly translates to, "I will never betray God, I will never extinguish the sun shining in the sky, I will not take my own life because you love me and pray for me."
The song is a powerful message about resilience, faith, and inner strength. It speaks to the importance of holding onto what is truly important in life and not giving up, no matter how difficult things may get. The music video further emphasizes these themes, showcasing scenes of nature, storms, and the singer standing alone against various landscapes to represent this unwavering strength and faith.
