So Long So Long

I won't say it
Let's check to see if we're still
On the same page
Blocking out the bad parts
Dodging all the long shots
So long, so long
So long, so long
To feeling second rate
Low like the lights on a dim lit street
The stars in your eyes
Have set me free
So long, so long
To the silver days
So long, so long
To feeling second rate
Hands wave goodbye
Swaying in the breeze
Our names up in lights
Above the marquee
Sweep me away
I need to feel like I'm in the right place
Take me, let's run away, run away, run away
I'll be your runaway, runaway, runaway
Sweep me away
I need to feel my hands on your face
Take me, let's run away, run away, run away
I'll be your runaway, runaway, runaway
Let's take a walk away from here
I can't stand it
Thoughts keep getting lost now
In the same place
Looking for a head start
Banking on a sure shot
So long, so long
To the silver days
So long, so long
To feeling second rate
Hands wave goodbye
Swaying in the breeze
Our names up in lights
Above the marquee
Sweep me away
I need to feel like I'm in the right place
Take me, let's run away, run away, run away
I'll be your runaway, runaway, runaway
Sweep me away
I need to feel my hands on your face
Take me, let's run away, run away, run away
I'll be your runaway, runaway, runaway
Do you want me
Do you want out
Do you want me
Do you want out
Do you want me
Do you want out
Do you want me
Do you want out
Do you want me
Do you want out
Do you want out
Do you want out
So long, so long
To the silver days
So long, so long
To feeling second rate
Low like the lights on a dim lit street
The stars in your eyes
Have set me free

I wanna feel like I'm in the right place
Take me, let's run away, run away, run away

The lyrics in "So Long So Long" by Transit are about leaving the past behind and starting a new journey. The singer is asking for clarity in regards to his relationship, wanting to be on the same page before moving forward. He expresses the desire to forget the bad parts and avoid any obstacles that come their way. He says goodbye to the "silver days" and feeling "second rate," and embraces the feeling of being set free by the stars in his lover's eyes.
Throughout the song, the singer talks about running away with his lover to escape the negative feelings of the past. They want to be in the right place mentally and emotionally, and away from the doubts and insecurities. The chorus repeats the phrase "Sweep me away," showing the desire for a fresh start and a new perspective.
The lyrics also speak to the power of connection and being in sync with another person. The chorus repeats "Do you want me, Do you want out," suggesting that the singer is unsure about his partner's commitment. However, he still wants them to run away together and be each other's "runaway."
Overall, "So Long So Long" is an anthem for those seeking change and a brighter future. It's about moving forward with a positive outlook and letting go of the past.

Who Can Know It?
RIP Tim Landers and Transit. I only ever saw them once. In a bar in Chapel Hill, NC with From Indian Lakes on a one off date they played together on an off day of their tours with Taking Back Sunday and Anberlin.
I had gone to see From Indian Lakes and Anberlin in VA Beach the previous day, but traffic was so bad I missed From Indian Lakes' set, so I looked up where they would be the next day. I thank God for that traffic because if I hadn't missed their set that day, I would have never got to see Transit.

Transit is easily one of the best punk bands out.

I actually kinda liked this. Surprised since I don't recall seeing it through the subscription feed filter. Pretty sure other people who are commenting are just uncomfortable with the lack of heavy vocals/screams. Don't worry, this label has plenty of that same thing over and over again, you'll get your fill :].

I'm a girl too and I try to keep an open mind. Yeah it is a bit type of a stereotype and a ligthearted one at that. I'm not saying it's queer which is how that came across I think. It's just an old school joke and the easiest way to discern certain things lol. Being around all guys all the time I have that Macho notion sometimes and it comes across a little harshly so my bad and to each their own. Peace :)
