Their songs sound rather African (they often use African insturments, like the conga and djembe). The most remarkable thing about Treble is that half their songs are sung in English and the other half in their own 'Treble-language', which they invented because Djem and Niña didn't speak English at the time.
In September of 2003 they released their first single 'Ramaganana', which (after having performed the song in record stores and live on television) peaked at the number one spot of the Dutch charts in January. Following their highly successful 'No Trouble' tour, they released their debut album ('No Trouble') in May of 2004. At the same time their second single ('Magic / Free as a Bird') was released. Although it wasn't as successful as their first single, it was still a minor hit, peaking at #33 in the Dutch charts. Their third single ('Fragile') didn't chart at all.
Their second album is expected to be released in 2006. They also plan to release it in the rest of Europe.
On March 12th 2006 Treble won the Dutch National Songcontest Finals with 72% of the votes with their song "Amambanda". They performed this song on May 18th 2006 at the semi-final of the Eurovision Songcontest in Athens in which they finished 20th.

and it's growing all the time
Right above you
it feels like flying
It's moving all around
from the left to the right
from me to you
It's in the air
and it's growing all the time
Right above you
it feels like flying
It's moving all around
from the left to the right
from me to you
Caught your eyes in the middle of a song
and I realisy what was going on
Then we smile, as I knew
I was sure, as you were
And then in front of me,
you were feeling it too
Ladadiedoem Ladadiedadiediediedie
It's in the air
and it's growing all the time
Right above you
it feels like flying
It's moving all around
from the left to the right
from me to you
Caught your eyes in the middle of a song
and I realisy what was going on
Then we smile, as I knew
I was sure, as you were
And then in front of me,
you were feeling it too
(3x):
I see ya clear, see ya clear
Feel tha rhitm, feel tha beat
Feel tha spirit, feel good
Feel tha heat baby
It's in the air
and it's growing all the time
right above you
it feels like flying
It's moving all around
from the left to the right
from me to you
I caught your eyes in the middle of a song
and I realisy what was going on
Then we smile, as I knew
I was sure, as you were

It's in the air

In Treble's song "Magic," the lyrics speak to the idea of a shared musical experience that creates a thrilling and almost surreal feeling. The phrase "It's in the air" refers to the intangible but palpable energy that can be felt at a concert or dance party, where the music seems to pulse through the crowd and create a sense of connection and unity. This energy is described as "growing all the time" and "moving all around," implying that it is contagious and spreads from person to person. The repetition of "from the left to the right, from me to you" emphasizes the idea of this energy being shared and passed around.
The second half of the song focuses on a specific moment where two people catch each other's eyes and realize they are sharing this feeling of musical magic. The lyrics describe the joy and excitement of recognizing that someone else is feeling the same way, leading to a shared smile and an affirmation of their connection. The use of the phrase "caught your eyes in the middle of a song" emphasizes the importance of music in this moment, as it is what brought these individuals together and provided a context for their connection.
Overall, the lyrics to "Magic" capture the sense of euphoria and community that can be experienced through live music, highlighting the power of music to bring people together and create shared emotions.
