It is because they hype up their viewers with epic music (depending on the movie I guess), switching between scenes at high speeds, etc. This makes it so they can not deliver a movie to the level of the viewers expectations and so the viewers end up hating it. In other words, 'the major downside to marketing'
PS: Yes I know I am responding to a two year old comment so it may not be likely you see this, but oh well, because I like responding

This is sequel quality trailer music. Most sequels should have more to them and this adds the stakes to a very tense degree. I'm not saying its bad under any circumstances, I am saying that music like this has its place in movies and trailers. That's just my opinion though. Great music!
