There were no individuals in positions of power or authority to govern or control others.

And all the people were friends
The people were all friendly or amicable toward each other, without any animosity or hatred.

At the bus stop
In a specific location where people wait for public transportation.

Everybody danced in style
All the people expressed themselves through movement or dance with a particular form or fashion.

It's all too bad it was just a dream
It is regrettable that the dream was not reality.

It's a shame I woke up though it seems
It is unfortunate that I came to consciousness, although it appears to be so.

Maybe one day I'll find a world like that
Perhaps I will eventually discover a place or situation that resembles the dream.

One that I can call my own.
One in which I feel a sense of belonging or ownership.

You know I've had this dream many times in my life

It is difficult to recall or identify the exact moments or events that contributed to the dream.

Great to be alive
It is wonderful or fulfilling to be alive and conscious.

It is overdue or appropriate for you to express happiness or pleasure.

Listen with all this hate I know it's hard to see through
With all the negativity or antagonism around, I understand it is challenging to maintain a positive outlook or perspective.

But the other side is beautiful
However, there is a positive or attractive aspect or outcome.

And you wouldn't know
You are unaware or lack knowledge of this fact or possibility.

Cause you're too much of a fool
Because you are foolish or ignorant, you overlook or disregard the positive potential.

Yeah it set me straight
Indeed, the dream brought me clarity or enlightenment.

Not to fight
To avoid engaging in physical or verbal confrontation or conflict.

Not to hate
To refrain from feeling intense dislike or animosity toward others.

I go outside
I exit or leave a particular location or structure.

I come back in
I return to a particular location or structure.

And realize nothing has changed
I recognize that despite my departure and return, the situation or environment remains the same.

Something inside makes me wish for my dream
An inner drive or desire motivates me to long for the dream.

Where pain and hatred are obsolete
Where physical or emotional suffering and hostility are no longer relevant or necessary.

All my own
Exclusively mine or belonging to me.

One that I can call my home
A place where I feel comfortable or secure and can reside.

I want a world with all my friends
I desire a society or environment where all my acquaintances or loved ones can coexist together.
