All Cried Out
Vendetta Red Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Make your mark with a crime that lasts
'Guns don't kill..." but bullets do
And I've been saving one for you
Hold me down I can feel a seizure coming
Think I took too much marazine
Saw blade bits tearing tendons from your neck
Like so much knives through bread
Cashmere crush covered in smoke
I'm All Cried Out
Soldiers march
A red sunset
Blood soaked babies on bayonets
The flag still waves
For all to see
Like moonlight on my machete
The lyrics of Vendetta Red's song "All Cried Out" may depict violence and aggression but, is rather symbolic and metaphorical. The first line: "Turn your back on your past" connotes that the persona is leaving behind whatever experience that hurt him before, and is ready to move on. He, however, implies that he is ready to pay back whoever brought him sorrow with a "crime that lasts". This crime he talks about may not be a literal one but could be figurative, meaning he has decided to excel and live right in every possible way, that he would no longer be a victim, but a victor.
The second stanza, "Guns don't kill...", suggests that the persona does not believe that the "crime" he intends to commit will cause physical harm to anyone, however, he claims he has "been saving one for" someone, which could be for his detractors, haters, or anyone that stands in the way of his progress. The third stanza seems to be a portrayal of someone who is being physically attacked, and the persona is observing from a distance. The line "I'm All Cried Out" may indicate that he is tired of crying, hurt, pain, and sorrow, thus, his focus is entirely on making a better life for himself.
In conclusion, the lyrics of Vendetta Red's song "All Cried Out" discuss the desire to grow beyond one's past, the need for a fresh start, and an unwavering determination to succeed against all odds. The song also contains a lot of symbolic and metaphorical expressions that help to drive home the song's central message.
