Norwegian musician, born in the 80's, and composer and producer behind the epic electrofunk project Vinter in Hollywood.
In July 2007 Vinter dubbed the industrial noise/club that went down in the studio, Vinter in Hollywood. Later that summer a Noir video was created for the song "pain control".
Raised in the extreme metal and trance scene of the 2000 era, the influences were many. The diversity of his sound was nailed when the french disco scene came to Vinter's attention in 2001. And on top of this movement in France, the inspirations were clearly bound to 80's electrofunk and breakdance music.
In January 2008 he made "Virus", which was broadcast almost immediately after arrival at the radio station NRK P3, Norway's biggest radio channel for youngsters and hip new music. The receptions were wide and diverse but, all in all, it seemed to be the start of something big.
Since then a lot has happened in VIH HQ, an album soon to come, being nominated for the prestigious award "Årets Urørt", which is an annual award for young upcoming Norwegian artists.

I know a cure
Is it gonna work?
Well, I'm not sure
Wait, don't go away
I know a cure
Is it gonna work?
Wait, don't go away
I know a cure
Is it gonna work?
Well, I'm not sure
Wait, don't go away
(go away) x6
(Vinter)
Wait, don't go away
I know a cure
Is it gonna work?
Well, I'm not sure
Wait, don't go away
I know a cure
Is it gonna work?
Well, I'm not sure
No, I'm not sure
The lyrics of Vinter in Hollywood's "Virus" seem to revolve around the idea of finding a cure for a disease, possibly a virus. The repetition of "Wait, don't go away, I know a cure" suggests a sense of urgency in finding a solution. However, the line "Is it gonna work? Well, I'm not sure" conveys a sense of uncertainty and doubt. This could be interpreted in a number of different ways - perhaps the person searching for a cure is not a medical professional and is unsure of their abilities, or maybe the disease itself is particularly difficult to treat.
The repetition of the chorus, accompanied by a simple yet haunting melody, gives the impression of a sort of endless cycle - the search for a cure goes on, but there is no guarantee that it will be successful. The repetition of the phrase "I'm not sure" could also suggest a fear of failure or the weight of responsibility placed on the person trying to find a cure. Overall, the lyrics of "Virus" are somewhat open to interpretation, but seem to convey a sense of uncertainty and desperation in the face of a difficult problem.
