They started as a medieval rock band and evolved into a fabulous and genuine band with a great bunch of different musical influences that makes it so unique.
To understand what the Weepers Circus is, you need to catch the train of their music, jump in it, and hold it tight, because you’ll be taken in lots of new places. You’ll discover a whole new world of colours, emotions and feelings.
With their last album called “La monstrueuse parade” they invite you to discover or rediscover the atmosphere of the Tod Browning’s movie “Freaks” (from 1932).
The first two songs (“Seul”, “La dignité”) are quite rock and give a dynamic tone to the record.
Then the atmosphere changes and you get wrap in a dress of smooth as the first note of the song “L’oiseau de Paradis” comes to your ears. This warm and lovely atmosphere last during the next two songs called “Janvier” and “En rêve”.
You are taken away from your reverie by the amazing voice of the French artist Olivia Ruiz, who has joined the Circus on the song “Sans vous aimer”. This song gives a new energy and opens the doors on a new picture, jazzier and lighter.
First there is the song called “La fille et le loup” that is a kind of caricature of the fairy Little red riding hood. With this song, the Weepers Circus shows you that you can be great artists, with a real and deep universe and a true talent, without taking yourself seriously. It’s an evidence of their sense of humour!
The next 2 songs called “Quelqu’un” and “La dernière pluie” and the duet with Isabelle Lux “Tu perds ton temps” keep the same energy, but have deeper meanings. Even if the lyrics are full of emotions, and sometimes of sadness, these songs make you feel like Charlie Chaplin when he was singing in the rain!
The song called “La parole perdue” is a perfect transition that drives you from the sweetness of the song called “Larme” to the liveliness and keenness of “Ca passe”.
Then comes the song called “L’une des nôtres” directly inspired by the Tod Browning’ movie from 1932 (“Freaks”). This song is very strong and the brasses give it a darker and deeper dimension.
And finally, our five weepers give you the coup de grace with their last song “Le monstre”. If you’ve been strong enough to restrain your tears during the listening of the record, this song will manage to draw tears from you!
When the listening is over, you get this strange feeling of having been knocked out by someone. In a little less than one hour, you’ve gone through so many different emotions that you hardly know where you are left now the music has been turn off!
You need to be warned: Their music is a drug, and you can easily get addicted!! But don’t worry, this kind of drug is very healthy!

Aaaaaah…
- j'vous l'avais dit !
- j't'avais dit qu't'étais trop gros !
- mais non chuis pas trop gros !
- oh oh oh ! Les gars, c'est pas grave ! Allez, on s'fait une toile ?!?
The lyrics to "Un éléphant qui se balançait" by Weepers Circus depict a lighthearted and playful scenario involving elephants swinging on a spider web. The song unfolds in four paragraphs.
In the first paragraph, the first elephant discovers the fun of swinging on a spider's web and finds it amusing. This leads the elephant to invite a second elephant to join in the game. The second elephant expresses excitement and gratitude for the invitation, anticipating a thrilling experience swinging like "mammoths."
The second paragraph continues with the two elephants swinging on the spider's web. They enjoy the game so much that they decide to invite a third elephant to join them. The third elephant, surprised by the already existing duo, comments on the size of the second elephant. A playful exchange follows, expressing doubts about the web's ability to hold everyone but ultimately reassuring each other that it will be fine.
In the third paragraph, the three elephants continue to swing on the spider's web. They find the game so entertaining that they decide to invite a fourth elephant. However, one of the elephants expresses concern that adding another elephant may lead to a disaster, implying that the spider's web might not be able to withstand the weight of all the elephants. Amidst their conversation, they suddenly notice a pink elephant, which briefly distracts them.
The fourth and final paragraph acknowledges the dilemma faced by the elephants as they find themselves in trouble, possibly causing the spider's web to break. They exchange comments, with some blaming the larger elephants for the situation. However, one of the elephants tries to maintain a positive attitude, suggesting they make the best out of it by watching a movie together instead, using the wordplay of "faire une toile," which means both "make a canvas/web" and "watch a movie."
Overall, the lyrics portray a humorous and light-hearted story of elephants finding joy in swinging on a spider's web, despite the possible consequences and challenges they face. The song emphasizes the camaraderie and enjoyment the elephants share, even in difficult situations.
