Thug was born amongst the masses eliminating any doubt that he wouldnβt be special. The second youngest child of 11 children developed a skill for standing out amongst many, early. Young Thug moved to Jonesboro, an impoverished suburb of Georgia where his lifestyle was engrossed by the crime, drug addiction and violence that surrounded him. It was there that he developed an insatiable appetite to succeed his current situation. After discovering and acknowledging his talent and creativity for music in 2010, Thug started a new hustle that would soon mature as one of the most promising music careers in the South. He also founded the record label YSL ( Young Stoner/Slatt Life) in 2010.
Eyeballing the throne of Hip hop royalty, Young Thug began to create a sound and style that would inevitably place him on top. Young Thugβs catchy verses and raw lyrical talent distinguished noise from art, clearly being the latter his creations are the best that remain of Southern hip hop. He is the embodiment of the evolution of Southern hip-hop. Young Thug is the representative for a generation that doesn't see hip-hop as a hobby but a lifestyle. Keeping true to himself, his art, and his home Young Thug will stand alone as the one true savior of the Southern movement.

Young Thug Lyrics

Lookin' better than ya ever been
Okay, yeah, uh
Yeah
Baby girl you lookin' better than ya ever been
Wrote you something special
Just so you can run and tell your friends
Baby girl you lookin' better than ya ever been, uh
Lookin' better than ya ever been
Wrote you something special
Just so you can run and tell your friends
Perfect in your melanin, and elegance your element
Baby girl you lookin' better than ya ever been
Baby girl you looking bad as fuck
But your friends want me, you must have a job or something
When I'm just trying to shoot my shot like Iverson
You probably fuck with NBA niggas, and I'll be one
You know, young niggas ball all the time like Melo
Keep a couple OG shooters called Melo
And if you only fuck with white dudes (aw hell naw!)
Well fuck it, I could be your fellow
Only black nigga with side-court passes wavin' hello
Got big gats and big black pearls like Jack Sparrow
Could take you to Ruth's Chris but I'd rather take you to Harold's
And Chicago shit is real, it's the industry that's the error
Miss the TV, eat my enemy, energy, and my level
If I didn't shoot my shot, couldn't handle my rifle better
I thought you was Coretta, but you was more like Cruella
So fuck it, it's okay mommy
I'ma let you go to bed, uh
Baby girl you lookin' better than ya ever been
Wrote you something special
Just so you can run and tell your friends
Perfect in your melanin, and elegance your element
Baby girl you lookin' better than ya ever been, uh
Lookin' better than you've ever been
Wrote you something special
Just so you can run and tell your friends
Perfect in your melanin, and elegance your element
Baby girl you lookin' better than ya ever been
You lookin' better than ever
Good sunny tan like you dodgin' bad weather
Yeah, big meat, Roc-A-Fella
24 shit like you collectin' feathers
Yeah, since we speaking 'bout feathers
I got Mink on my doors and Gucci for the fellas
Yeah, I ain't ever work for Diddy
Know I dance, but I got a Rolls Royce Umbrella
Keep me cold under my fashion
Nigga tolerate hoe from passion
She a horse force rasbin
Tiger stripes on her booty, call her Lion King
White toes and they tiny
Ask her do she like hoes, she's say "slightly"
I'm running from her soul in these Nikes
Bad bitch, she deserve to be in the pen, 'cause
Baby girl you lookin' better than ya ever been
Wrote you something special
Just so you can run and tell your friends
Perfect in your melanin, and elegance your element
Baby girl you lookin' better than ya ever been, uh
Lookin' better than ya ever been
Wrote you something special
Just so you can run and tell your friends
Perfect in your melanin, and elegance your element
Baby girl you lookin' better than ya ever been
Than ya ever been
Yeah, lookin' better than ya ever been
Yeah, lookin' better than ya ever been
Okay
Yeah, uh
In "Have You Ever," Young Thug celebrates the beauty and confidence of a woman who is looking better than ever. He acknowledges her physical attractiveness, emphasizing her melanin and elegance as defining elements of her identity. The song explores themes of love and desire, as Young Thug expresses his admiration for this woman's appearance.
In the first verse, Young Thug portrays himself as someone who is interested in pursuing a romantic relationship with the woman. He suggests that her friends are interested in him, implying that she must be successful or hold a job to have attracted their attention. Comparing himself to basketball player Allen Iverson, he indicates his determination to take a shot and win her over. He further alludes to his association with NBA players and asserts that he could be the "fellow" she might want, even if she usually prefers to date white men. Young Thug brags about his connections and status, mentioning having side-court passes at basketball games and being recognized in the industry. However, he concludes the verse by suggesting that their potential relationship might not be as perfect as he initially thought, referencing Coretta Scott King and Cruella De Vil as contrasting examples.
In the second verse, Young Thug continues to praise the woman's beauty and implies that her appearance defies any bad weather conditions. He makes references to luxurious brands such as Roc-A-Fella and Gucci, indicating his own wealth and fashion sense. Young Thug boasts about his independence, claiming he has never worked for Diddy while also mentioning his ownership of a Rolls Royce. He addresses his critics and exudes self-confidence, noting that he stays cool and collected through his fashion choices. The verse concludes with playful imagery, comparing the stripes on the woman's buttocks to the tiger's stripes in the movie "The Lion King."
The chorus repeats the sentiment of the woman's improved appearance and Young Thug's appreciation for her, stating that she is looking "better than ever." He affirms that he has written something special about her, which she can proudly share with her friends. The emphasis on her melanin and elegance underscores the celebration of her uniqueness and individuality.
Overall, "Have You Ever" is a lyrical celebration of a woman's beauty and the artist's attraction towards her. Young Thug's lyrics oscillate between self-assured statements about his own success and admiration for the woman's appearance, creating a mix of boastful and romantic sentiments throughout the song.
