She left Polygram in 1990, moved to São Paulo and decided to dedicate herself to a less commercial repertoire than that demanded by her former record label. She put together the show "Sobre Todas as Coisas", backed up by Marcos Suzano (percussion) and Lui Coimbra (violin-cello), with whom she toured Brazil. The show was later recorded by the label Eldorado. In 1993, "Valsa Brasileira", with its slick repertoire and expert technical back-up, was released by the label Velas and helped to put her up amongst the leading names on the MPB scene. In 1997, she recorded "Per Amore" – which was a commercial sensation, with its sales boosted by the title track. The following year, she released "Passione", an album Italian songs, only.
Companhia
Zizi Possi Lyrics

Prender o seu amor
Dê liberdade pra ele
Mas nunca lhe diga adeus
Que adeus é tempo demais
Espera,
De repente ele chega
Com tanta coisa pra contar
O que você quer ouvir de novo
É um desperdício comum
Dois viver vida de um
Querer viver cada emoção eternamente
Querer viver cada emoção eternamente não
Eu não ligo para estar sozinha
Pois tenho por companhia
Mil corações onde sou rainha
Pois cada homem que amei
Em cada um eu deixei
Uma pista do meu caminho
É um desperdício comum
Dois viver vida de um...
The song Companhia by Zizi Possi talks about an interesting perspective on love and relationships. The lyrics suggest that if one wants to hold onto their love, they should give them freedom, but never say goodbye, as it is too long of a time. The verse seems to imply that giving someone freedom allows them to grow, experience new things, and possibly make mistakes, which could be crucial elements to deepen the bond between the two individuals. The phrase "never say goodbye" emphasizes the importance of communication and keeping the connection intact. The chorus repeats the idea that it is a common waste for two people to live as one and to desire to live every emotion eternally.
Zizi Possi's interpretation of this song is profound and philosophical. She suggested that one shouldn't depend on another to be complete, as each person carries within themselves a multitude of experiences and emotions that make them unique. The line "I don't care about being alone because I have for company, a thousand hearts where I am the queen" shows that the singer doesn't feel incomplete without a partner because she leaves a part of herself with those whom she loves. The idea of leaving a trace behind in the hearts of those whom we love is beautiful and poetic.
