I liked this girl for quite a while now. She's pretty, the most amazing girl out there. We were both writers, I wrote her stories, and she wrote me poems. And I impulsively confessed to her, I told her I liked her with lines from this song. In a stroke of luck, she told me that she liked me back. But even though she liked me back, it wasn't an invitation to further develop our relationship. Because we knew, that her tita wouldn't approve, and we were still young. So we both agreed that we would wait until we were both ready, and she has permission to be in a relationship.
We talked often, often sharing our everyday lives, enjoying the little things in life. We would write handwritten letters to eachother, and leave them at a spot no one but the two of us knows.
And everyday that we talked, the more we fell in love with each other, and the more letters we wrote. The more poems had been made.
That is until, Her tita discovered what we've been doing and intercepted one of my stories and one of her poems. They both wrote us letters in the works we made.
Shortly after that, she fought with her tita. And she ran away. Worried I looked all over for her. And I found her in our secret place. The place where we go if ever we feel sad. She was bundled up and bawling her eyes out.
I tapped her on the shoulder and calmed her down. And then carried her back home.
Tita was worried that she ran away, and blamed it on me. She told me I was impulsive, and a bad influence to her Pamangkin. So she banned me from seeing her again.
Its been three years, we haven't talked to eachother since then. I told her I'll wait for her. How is she? I wonder.
If you ever find this, I hope you're doing fine. I'm doing fine, no need to worry about me. And remember our promise. I'm still waiting, and I always will be. For the day we meet once again.

Aside from rewatching "I'm Drunk, I Love You" and "Tayo Sa Huling Buwan Ng Taon," I also love listening to this song all over again.
I've been in love with my close friend for seven years. Senior high school kami non when I first met him. He's a cutie chinito, matalino, and may humor. He's a 10 kumbaga. Minsan nagsasabay kami kumain tuwing lunch o sumali sa mga event sa school. Our friendship became stronger. He helped me reach my potentials as well. I'm always available whenever he needs help. Before graduation, I confessed my feelings to him. He's okay with it naman. His response was so bland for it is full of uncertainty.
Hanggang nag-college na kami. He studied in Manila habang ako naiwan sa province. On and off din yung communication namin since busy kami sa school. Siguro yung nagiging usapan lang namin sa messenger is sa tuwing magpapabili ako ng libro and my drunk chats haha. Basta nauwi siya ng province, nagkikita kami and kinikilig pa rin ako.
Fast forward, graduating na siya ng college habang ako nag-drop dahil sa pandemic. Nagkita kami ulit dito sa Manila. Kumain sa labas, nagpalitan ng tawanan, naglakad sa Intramuros. I thought nakalimutan ko na siya but he's still the guy that I fell in love when we were still in High School.
Nag-inuman kami sa Escolta. I confessed again for the nth time and the response is... Ta-da... Friends. Madalas pa rin kaming magkita. Mas naging close kami sa totoo lang.
Until now, I'm still in love with him. He's dating someone right now. I have nowhere to go coz I'm a friend haha. Pero umaasa pa rin ako na balang araw, mararamdaman niya rin yung pagmamahal ko sa kanya o baka ako na lang yung mapagod kakahabol.

Funny how I ended up watching/listening to this as I just confessed to my crush, thinking that I finally had the chance since things were looking up but- as expected, he only sees me and likes me as a best friend. I understand his point and I respect his feelings and decisions but funny how I almost pined for him for almost two-three years and I've only gotten the chance to confess to him yesterday.

Surprisingly enough we were both able to have a mature conversation, me explaining my side and with him saying his. Soon we both concluded that we were better off as best friends. To be frank, I was scared that maybe our friendship had been ruined by me liking him, with that, I asked him if me liking him had ruined or made our friendship awkward, or if he felt uncomfy before.
To my surprise he said no and I felt relieved. Although somewhat heartbroken cause yeah I got rejected again, but it feels as if like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders and I feel more easy and relaxed now that I've got the closure I deserved and I can finally start to move on.
So if by any chance- if you're reading this message, thank you. I learned that I should never settle for the bare minimum, and that this also made me realize that I should focus on myself first before anyone else. I'm working on to make myself better. I'm thankful to have you as my tropa, bestfriend, kabardagulan even HAHA.
