Overall Meaning

The lyrics to exist†trace's song end-less talk about feelings of isolation and loneliness. The first verse describes a feeling of being broken, like scattered ashes, in the midst of a restless and uneasy atmosphere caused by the wind. The singer acknowledges that there are no humans or even silence around them to offer comfort, but instead they find solace in closing their eyes and losing themselves in the flowing landscape.

The second verse speaks of a regenerated figure, akin to that of a painting, under a chilled and yet elegant moon. Again, there are no words to describe the scene, but the singer clings to the idea of having control over their situation- a symbol of their will to survival.

The refrain, with its repeated lines about never withering in the loneliness and believing that time will one day end, speaks of a resignation to the reality that the singer is trapped within. The final line of the song suggests finding someone to sleep beside as one option to escape this fate.

Overall, the song explores the idea of isolation and trauma, but also speaks of the resilience of the human will.

@MagicBlubber

Did they end up coming back to their old sound? Like this album?

@thatguynamedfausto

@MagicBlubber Haha no. Let's face it, they'll never will. They have recently said in an interview that maybe they'll do a remake of Judea. I'm scared. Very scared.
