For anyone who hasn't seen the movie, the blonde chick has that condition that makes your bones brittle. Time moves faster on the beach, so she's basically breaking her bones but then they instantly heal at that angle. She started out just being vain about her looks, and didn't want them looking at her because she was old now, but the situation made her kind of snap and go nuts. Then once she started falling and flailing around, that was pretty much a death sentence for her.

She didn't start like that. When she arrived at the beach, she was young and attractive with a lot but not unreasonable amount of makeup on. The beach ages people by years over the course of a day by manipulating cells. By the time she died, she was around 20-25 years older than when she arrived. Hence why the makeup looks so bad.

One of my favourite things about this movie is how M Night took a simple premise (time moving fast) and created whole body horror scenarios from it like Chrystal's bone's healing the wrong way or her husband's rapid tetanus. So creative and unforgettable.

I think she had the best story in the whole movie. The fact that she married someone because of his status quo and left her old lover, and she remembers him realizing she always loved him its too tragic. Plus her insecurities about being pretty and how all she was afraid of actually happened to her.

This was a weird moviegoing experience for me. The concept was fascinating, the cinematography was engaging, but the writing was so extremely unusual that I thought it might be trying to be bad, like old B movie horror movies. And in the back of my mind there's the knowledge that it's directed by the guy who made both Sixth Sense and The Last Airbender. There’s alot of horror movies out there, this is more suspense then horror; but honestly I think is the most grotesque scene to watch of the many and it’s not even gorey. It’s just a concept that’s mindbending. The play on accelerated time with her medical condition and it’s actually depicted just how you would think. She really crumples herself into a ball of broken bones.

Realistically she would of died of a heart attack or stroke or something from her lack of calcium long before her bones got that brittle.

At least they showed her going crazy since a long-term calcium deficient brain probably would since nerve and brain cells depend on calcium for the release of neurotransmitters.

Not to mention, she is totally stressed out when she found her 6 years old daughter turns to be teenagers because of the age rapid in the beach and she got pregnant after meet the boy that he just met only later she gave birth and the baby died instantly. And her husband suffered a schizophrenia and made him turns to be crazy because the beach made everyone who has a medical condition affected them.

I loved this movie in a none ironic film snob way. It was a movie about exactly what the trailer showed and it succeeded in stringing us along to the very end. Thank God M Night is back to making these twist filled suspense movies. No one is better at it than him.

Best scene in the whole movie. We rewatched it several times before finishing the movie. It was a very creative concept. I'm a huge Sci-Fi fan and I have never seen anything like it.
