Pouquoi ma vie ressemble
A une terre brûlée
Mais quand l'amour prend ses distances
Un seul être vous manque
Et tout est dépeuplé
Vanina rappelle-toi
Que je ne suis rien sans toi
Vanina si tu m'oublies
Je serais pour la vie
Seul au monde
Oh ! Mon... mon... mon...
Toi, si loin de toi
Et le monde
N'existe pas
Si tu es loin de moi, loin loin loin de moi
Vanina ah ah vanina ah ah .. etc..
Vanina rappelle-toi
Que je ne suis rien sans toi
Vanina si tu m'oublies
Je serais pour la vie
Seul au monde
Mon... mon... mon...
Toi, si loin de toi
Et le monde
N'existe pas
Si tu es loin de moi, loin loin loin de moi
Vanina ah ah vanina ah ah .. etc..
The lyrics of the song "Vanina" by Dave express the emptiness and loneliness that the singer experiences when he is far away from the person he loves. The first verse begins with Dave questioning why his life feels like a burnt land when he is separated from his lover. However, he quickly understands that it is because love has taken its distance from them. The second part of the verse is a famous French quote: "Un seul être vous manque et tout est dépeuplé" meaning "One single being is missing, and the world seems depopulated." This phrase highlights how important the loved one is to the singer and how lost he would be without her.
The chorus is a plea to Vanina, emphasizing how vital she is in his life. Dave repeats the lyrics "Vanina, rappelle-toi que je ne suis rien sans toi" meaning "Vanina, remember that I am nothing without you." If she forgets him, he'll be alone in this world forever. The repetition adds to the emotional depth of the song, emphasizing the heightened sense of desperation Dave feels when he's far away from Vanina.
Overall, the song "Vanina" by Dave is a poignant exploration of love and the pain that comes with being separated from a loved one. It's a declaration of love that is both sincere and heartwarming.
