The band embarked on a lenghty, multiple-leg tour, during which they played many of the album's tracks and even the left-outs, such as "Things I Never Said" and "The Well-Dressed Guitar". These two tracks, along with the title track are still in the band's setlist as of 2010. The title track became a kind of a live favourite among fans.
The album was generally praised by fans and reviewers, reaching top40 in some European countries, e.g. #10 in Germany and #11 in Finland.
It was the second album recorded by Mark VIII, that features:
Ian Gillan
Roger Glover
Steve Morse
Ian Paice
Don Airey
As of November 2010, it is still the last Deep Purple album, although a new album by the side line-up is expected in 2011.
