1. An indie pop band from Gothenburg, Sweden that later changed their name to The Faintest Ideas.
They have released only four EPs under this name: Seven shirts of Steve McQueen (2003), Pale Average Crooks (2004), The Intro Vertical EP (2004) and a We Paid A Lot For Our Style (2005). All of them were later re-released as a compilation along with unreleased and live material on Terrific Times And Unrehearsed Crimes in 2006.
The official statement of the band, May 2006:
“ OK, as you might have noticed we have changed the name of the band, we are no longer Javelins but The Faintest Ideas. This is because there are a bunch of bands called Javelins already, and we were sick and tired of the name anyway. so get used to this following fact: javelins are fucking dead! ”
2. A band from Detroit, MI which was signed to Suburban Sprawl Music. It was formed in 2002 with five members: Julian Wettlin, Matt Rickle, Matt Howard, Ryan Williams, and Johnny Lewis.
They recorded an Demo EP in 2003 and soon two members, Ryan and Johnny, left the band.
In 2004 the first official EP, What Is A Life Without Weapons?, was released.
In March of 2005 they released their first LP No Plants, Just Animals and went touring afterwards.
In December of the same year they have released 12" split Entropy with Anathallo.
They spent 2006 writing new music and recording in 2007.
The second LP Heavy Meadows was released on July 29th, 2008.
After a five-year hiatus they have released a 7" Admiral Airwave.
On 20th 2020 they have released a single Space & Time and hinted that there will be a new EP.
