1) A southern boy at heart, Andy Davis works with what he knows best: charm. Quirky, clever, talented and tender, Andy writes music to make you look for a soft hand to hold. With a movie-maker's eye for storytelling, he shows that every glimpse in life tells a story and that every saga must be distilled into vignettes. Andy is a rare talent: an unplugged Whiskeytown-era Ryan Adams crossed with a latter-day Billy Joel, without the self-destructive tendencies of either. Surprisingly soulful for a young man whose peers spend more time cruising than crooning, Andy Davis writes songs that make us remember things too important to have forgotten: incomprehensible faith, the torture of deep emotion, and belief in boundless possibilities. Everyone rushes past these quiet monoliths on our way through young adulthood, and Andy's music makes us want to go back and find them. His songs make you remember your firsts: first kiss, first love, first date, first heartbreak. It's the accessibility of Andy's agony and ecstasy that makes you feel what it's like to be a poet. Life becomes less complicated when we grasp the essence of true living. The music of Andy Davis beckons like a whisper through the cacophony of smooth snake oil vendors. It's uncorrupted rawness, genuine and unpretentious -- authenticity unencumbered by fake industry.
Born in Louisiana and later migrating with his family to the southeast, Andy grew up listening to oldies and gospel music before moving to Nashville for college. With musical influences from David Wilcox to Stevie Wonder to Radiohead to Rufus Wainwright, it's no surprise that Andy writes like a poet, plays a slew of instruments (from drum kit to trumpet), and rocks out on stage. Runway Network is currently promoting Andy's independent album titled, "Thinks of Her."
2) Andy Davis (born Andrew Cresswell-Davis 10 August 1949) is a music producer, member of Stackridge , former member of The Korgis. Stackridge are a West Country based group who were at the height of their success, such as it was, during the 1970s but are reformed and still playing today. Davis, who lives in Bath, was also in The Korgis - a British pop band, originally composed of singer / bassist James Warren (born 25 August 1951, Bristol) and singer / drummer Davis, along with unofficial members guitarist Stuart Gordon and keyboardist Phil Harrison. Davis has also played with Goldfrapp. He played acoustic guitar and sang backing vocals on John Lennon's Imagine album.

Rewind the best parts
And we'll memorize the lines
I'll call everyone and they can come over
If it keeps things off your mind
Yeah I've got a couple of ideas
Tell me if up for this
Well I'll try my best to be funny, yeah
You forget for a while
Wrote a song for ya honey
You should laugh so you don't cry
Laugh so you don't cry
You used to love when I came up with surprises
And would drag you off soem place
Just get you in a car and out of this house
Cause I miss the smile on your face
And I'm here to keep that chin up
It looks like you need cheering up
Well I'll try my best to be funny, yeah
You forget for a while
Wrote a song for ya honey
You should laugh so you don't cry
Laugh so you don't cry
So you don't cry
We're not kissing goodbye
What happened?
The only tears you should cry, cry laughing
I think its about time that you get yourself out of hiding
Out of hidng
And I'll try my best to be funny, yeah
You forget for a while
Wrote a song for ya honey
You should laugh so you don't cry
Laugh so you don't cry
This is it
This is your song baby
Look outside, the sun is shining
Are you there? Can I come in baby?
Crack a smile
You dont have to hide it, well
I'll try my best to be funny, yeah
You forget for a while
Wrote a song for ya honey
You should laugh so you don't cry
You should laugh so you don't cry
Laugh so you don't cry
So you don't cry
So you don't cry
The lyrics of "Laugh So You Don't Cry" by Andy Davis seem like the perfect song to lift someone's spirits. The song is uplifting, hopeful and encourages whoever the listener is to find joy in the midst of their pain or sadness. The song is about taking a break from whatever is troubling you, gathering with friends, and doing something that will make you happy so you can forget about your sadness for a while.
Davis encourages someone in the song to call their friends, rent a comedy, and watch the funniest scenes. He also suggests that they should memorize the lines so they can use them to cheer themselves up whenever they're feeling low. He then tells the person to let loose, "laugh so you don't cry" so they can get a break from their sadness.
In verse two, Davis suggests that they can go somewhere, "just get you in the car and out of this house" that used to bring them joy. He also suggests that he will try to be funny to make the person laugh.
The chorus further encourages the person to laugh instead of crying, and to keep their chin up, which explains the title of the song. Davis assures the person that they are not going to say goodbye and that they will get through this tough time. By the end of the song, Davis reminds the person of the sunshine and suggests they open up and share a smile instead of hiding.
Overall, "Laugh So You Don't Cry" is a message of hope and the power of laughter to overcome sadness. The song reinforces the message that it's okay to take a break and find refuge in humor, especially when things are tough.
