Formed in May of 2004 with their home base as Tempe, Arizona, the band hit the ground running playing it's first show at The Vans Warped Tour in Phoenix. Finding themselves headlining numerous local shows and supporting national acts, the Jenna’s fan base grew rapidly. Today their loyal and ardent following is prevalent throughout the southwestern US and their internet presence has garnered fans across the globe. While the band has myriad influences such as Radiohead, The Cure, Depeche Mode, New Order, Duran Duran, The Killers, Doves and the Psychedelic Furs, the casual listener or staunch follower will contest that these guys have a sound all their own. Jenna's guitar driven, synth laden sonic landscapes are infused with infectious pop lyrics that lure even the most finicky of listeners into turning up the volume knob. It’s no accident that Jenna’s has stayed the course long past when most bands fold and sell their gear for vacations. Ask any member of the band and he will tell you, “we keep making music because it’s a passion of ours…not a one night stand.” Anthony Rae, the former drummer of local heroes Plinko, stepped out from behind the drums to become the lead vocalist and frontman for Jenna’s Arrival. He has toured with the likes of Blink 182 and Unwritten Law. Terry Mathews on guitars and keys has previously established himself in the Phoenix music scene with his lead guitar and songwriting roles in the Living Daylytes and Longshore. His indie flavored guitar riffs and synth pop oriented sensibilities provide the sonic montage of moods that signifies the Jenna’s sound. Steve Flores on bass is neither a stranger to the Phoenix music scene. He has recorded and played with local brit-pop favorites Eurovox and the Captives, supporting bills with the likes of Shiny Toy Guns, New Model Army and Supergrass. On the heels of selling over 3,000 copies of their 2005 EP release, Jenna’s toured throughout the southwest and other west coast venues along side bands such as The Vacation, Authority Zero, and World Wide Spies. After the successful release of a follow up EP in 2007, Jenna’s went back into the studio once more, this time with veteran music producer Bob Hoag of Flying Blanket Recording and completed their forthcoming Changes EP. Drawing on overlapping genres of indie rock and synth pop, their new EP release includes four very distinct, yet cohesive tracks…each of which will have you hitting the replay button for another round of toe tapping. All doubts aside, if the band contiues down this path of sonic bliss, watch for these guys to be carving out their very own place within some of today's indie rock staples!
