She Sells Sanctuary
The Cult Lyrics

Oh, the heads that turn
Make my back burn
And those heads that turn
Make my back, make my back burn

The sparkle in your eyes
Keeps me alive
And the sparkle in your eyes
Keeps me alive, keeps me alive

The world
Oh, the world turns around
The world and the world, yeah
The world drags me down

Oh, the heads that turn
Make my back burn
And those heads that turn
Make my back, make my back burn, yeah
Hey yeah hey, yeah hey

The fire in your eyes keeps me alive
And the fire in your eyes keeps me alive
Inside her you'll find sanctuary
Inside her you'll find sanctuary

And the world, the world turns around
And the world, and the world, the world drags me down
And the world, and the world, and the world, the world turns around
And the world, and the world, and the world, and the world
The world drags me down

Ah, hey yeah, hey yeah
And the world (hey yeah, hey), and the world turns around (hey yeah, hey)
And the world, and the world (hey yeah, hey)
Yeah, the world drags me down (hey yeah, hey)
And the world (hey yeah, hey)
Yeah, the world turns around (hey yeah, hey)
And the world, and the world (hey yeah, hey), the world drags me down (hey yeah, hey)

Yeah hey, hey yeah
Sanctuary, hey
Sanctuary, hey

@Nexist__Fade sorry, that's just religious idolatry..

There is no objective evidence to back up your statement..

Don't even get started in using record sales as proof..

As we well know volume sales do not reflect artistic excellence as depicted by the financial success of songs like despacito, mumble rap and other sub standard music.

Not at ALL to say The Doors are even remotely in the same category.

Just illustrating my point.

I will give you that Jim Morrison was by FAR a better live performer than Ian..

However, in the studio Ian Astbury has a tone preferable to that of Jim Morrison by many, I myself included... In comparison he sounds like a proper singer.

To many Ian is a rock god and can do no wrong, even though his live performances were terrible..

See what I'm getting at?

Tales of Mere Existence

I'm watching this half drunk, at 2 in the morning.
You can make fun of this all you like, the vibe I get is as follows:
I think these guys really loved being in a Rock N Roll band.

I used to play this in the car driving down the highway with my friend. Great driving tune!
