Despite its time of release, this sounds a lot more like Alternative/Indie/Experimental rock than any sort of solid Rock music. This thing appeals lot better on fans of Pink Floyd, Radiohead, My Bloody Valentine and Wilco than straight-up rock listeners. Now, this is a 60's album. Look at the times the bands I referenced to. 70's, 90's, 2000's...You see how masterful the Banana Album actually is now? Good.

It's not just like the Intro, but literally the riff, bass line are identical, although because of the different tempo and sound, you don't immediately notice it. At the same time, despite the fact that the bands should not have intersected in the case of this song, because they recorded it at about the same time(VU even earlier), while VU all the same knew about who, what the band members themselves said, but this refers to the album of 65, so I don't know, it's all strange

I'm not quite sure I understand your question; are you asking why the Velvets and The Who both have songs called Run Run Run that share similarities despite neither being aware of each other? If so, I'd just say it's 'artistic coincidence'--in other words, similar influences (eg--Motown, interest in avant-garde music, though Townsend never ventured into the way the Velvets did). Funny enough, Run Run Run was a pretty popular song title in the 60s (there a song on the (excellent) Nuggets compilation with that title). Don't know if this helped or if I botched your question.

I just realised this song has a very complex mixing technique. I think what makes it special is the voice going somewhat back and forth, back and forth... (in volume). Plus, don't you hear a kind of synthesizer on the left channel echoing the celesta melody? (More evident in the second half). It's very subtle... In tone it reminds me of the one used in "Here Comes the Sun", but maybe it was my mind that made it up!

I went through 3 copies of this in about five years. In the sixties we had record players. Not high tech. Sometimes if you had a really crappy record player, it required putting coins on the arm, to keep it from skipping. Scratched the records up though. First one I bought was over fifty years ago.
