Jailhouse Rock
Elvis Presley Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

The warden threw a party in the county jail
The prison band was there and they began to wail
The band was jumpin' and the joint began to swing
You should've heard them knocked-out jailbirds sing

Let's rock everybody, let's rock
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock

Spider Murphy played the tenor saxophone
Little Joe was blowin' on the slide trombone
The drummer boy from Illinois went crash, boom, bang
The whole rhythm section was the Purple Gang

Let's rock everybody, let's rock
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock

Number forty-seven said to number three
"You're the cutest jailbird I ever did see
I sure would be delighted with your company
Come on and do the Jailhouse Rock with me"

Let's rock everybody, let's rock
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock

Sad sack was sittin' on a block of stone
Way over in the corner weepin' all alone
The warden said, "hey, buddy, don't you be no square
If you can't find a partner, use a wooden chair"

Let's rock everybody, let's rock
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock

Shifty Henry said to Bugs, "For Heaven's sake
No one's lookin' now's our chance to make a break"
Bugsy turned to Shifty and he said, "Nix, Nix
I want to stick around a while and get my kicks"

Let's rock everybody, let's rock
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock

Dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock
Dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock
Dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock
Dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock
Dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock

CyantheOffical ARIANA GRANDE!? SHAWN MENDAS!? Are you for real? Who the actual fuck thinks they’re better than Elvis Presley!?

Elvis is the best selling solo musician, and whether you like it or not, Elvis will have more influence on the music industry, and culture than any living artist today.

His accolades include having a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and having other rewards in hall of fames like the Rock and Roll, Blues, Country, Rockabilly, and Gospel just to name a couple (there are a total of 24 Hall of Fames he’s featured in). He also holds the records for the most RIAA certified Gold and Platinum albums. Rolling Stone listed him at number 3 in the Top 100 Singers ever.

I also guess you’ve never heard the song Suspicious Minds, which truly shows the talent of Elvis and is much better than any bullshit Mars, Mendas, and Grande has, and will ever put out.

Also, you’re probably 12 years old, as you know absolutely nothing about music and its industry

@Mullkaw

I'm having the same problem, this is what I was able to gather:
1. I can only learn up to three new things at a time
2. Learning a fourth thing erases the first new thing I learned
3. I have my memories from before 「JAILHOUSE ROCK」
4. I must defeat the user 「エルヴィス・プレスリー!!!」
5. I can remember no more than three things at a time
6. More than that, and the earlier things seem to go away
7. I remember clicking on 「JAILHOUSE ROCK」though, and everything before that
8. I must defeat the user eruvuisu puresurī
9. ... what? I'll just hit REPLY, none of this makes sense anymore
