I found this song last night on the show "Scandal" and let me just say that it's nothing short of amazing. I cried during the scene this song was played in and all this morning while driving I cried while listening to it. Life is hard. I know that sounds so simple but it is, I never thought it could be like this. I find myself feeling so alone sometimes and nearly depressed. This song allows me to pour my feelings out rather than keep them in as I usually do.

I honestly thought that this was original background music for Scandal until I randomly decided to look for it tonight after the repeat of The Trail (omg, those "one minute" scenes are killer!). I'm so happy that it's an actual song. Now I can torture myself with it every day because it's like a kick to the heart and soul.

I'm extremely grateful to the show Scandal for introducing me to this song, but I'm most grateful to The Album Leaf. Besides all the comments regarding the relationship of Olivia and Fitz, I love this song for so many different reasons. While all of you guys are talking about how you love scandal this song holds one of my most intimate memories, I remember I was on FaceTime with my girlfriend and the amount of homework she had been assigned so outragus in addition to mid terms she was having a breakdown right there in front of me and in that moment I took a deep breath and I looked at her...not just her appearance which was a messy bun and hoodie but her soul she was hurting and so rushed and I remembered video I had watched on soul pancake about couples connecting in four minutes and it just so happened I remembered the song in these moments my girlfriend looked up slightly confused and wondering why I was staring at her and I told her it was because I was studying for one of the most important tests I would ever take (her) so I told her to Drop everything lay down relax and just listen I turned on the song her breathing instantly went down her face relaxed she looked beautiful When it was over she got up and began to cry But not out of discomfort or stress out of appreciation and all she said was “thank you for your existence”.

Idk what Scandal is, but I've been listening to this song ever since a girl in college first introduced me to post-rock. Every time I feel like life is bleak and there's nowhere and no one to turn to, I listen to this and it gives me hope. It speaks volumes without a single word being said.
