小学6年の11月、父の事業の失敗で遠く四国の街での生活が始まった。テレビはもちろん、自転車も無く。隣に住む同級生と仲良くなった。小型ラジオが1台有り、J.F.ケネディが暗殺された放送を父と聞く。天気の良い日曜だった。そのラジオも父は仕事先に持って行った。
中学生になる時、仲良くなった同級生と床屋で丸坊主になった。その床屋のラジオから流れていた曲がこの曲でした。初めての歌謡曲が心に響いた。丸坊主になって店を出ると、その歌の詩のような、奇麗な星空。なんとなく覚えたメロディーが、60年近く過ぎた今。過ぎた人生を振り返り、お千代さんの素敵な歌を聞きながら、、、動画を見ると涙が止まらない。母のように、姉のように、私の心の中には素敵なお千代さんがいます。辛い１０代でした。高校も定時制、専門学校も夜間部。２２歳で体を壊して両親の元に。母が大好きだったお千代さん。父は２７年前、母は４年前に他界。人生を振り返る年齢になりました。
