From there she gained more public exposure; she released her debut single Level 42 in June 2004, which was featured on Saku Saku as its ending theme. Her debut album KAELA followed in December of the same year. Her fanbase grew considerably after her third single リルラ リルハ, which was used in a series of Vodafone commercials in Japan and made Kaela a household name.
Kaela's third studio album Scratch, released in February 2007, is her most successful so far, spending two consecutive weeks at number 1 on the Oricon charts and selling over 360,000 copies.
In 2009, Kaela released her fifth studio album, Hocus Pocus. Butterfly, a promotional song off the album, became Kaela's biggest hit. It was certified Million by the RIAJ in both ringtones and cellphone downloads, and Double Platinum in PC downloads.
In 2011, Kaela released her sixth studio album and first since her marriage to actor 瑛太 (Eita) and the birth of her first child, 8EIGHT8, which peaked atop the charts, making it her second album to do so, since Scratch.

(Kimura Kaera) combines lyrics and melody to create a song that evokes images of being at sea. The lyrics in the song suggest that the music serves as a guide or a source of light, perhaps for someone who is lost at sea. The lyrics urge others to dance and create a rhythm and melody that can be heard through the waves. The use of the dolphin in the title and lyrics seems to show the playful nature of the music, as well as perhaps a freedom that comes with being in the vast expanse of the ocean.
The lyrics ask, "Do you hear my voice?" and express a desire to be able to communicate better with the other person. The song seems to be about a deep connection between two people who are at sea, and about how music has the power to bring them together. With Kaera's soothing voice and the gentle melody of the music in the background, "Dolphin" creates a unique and dreamy atmosphere that takes listeners on a journey across the sea.
Overall, "Dolphin" is a beautiful and touching song about the power of music and connection, and the unique experiences that come with being out at sea.
