Risa first started garnering attention when her 1987 single "疑問" [Question] was used in the drama 毎度おさわがせします[Sawagase shi asu]. She would only release a handful of chart placing singles before "最高の一日〜One Day〜" in 1988 only manged to rank 18th on Oricon and she has been unable to chart ever since. In the early '90s her music career waned and since then she has focused on acting. Although in 2001 and 2002 she released two singles and a retrospective album titled '"Tachibana理佐GOLDEN ☆ BEST" in 2003.
