Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
My Boy
My Boy
My Boy
The song "瞳に天気雨" or "Hitori ni Tenkiame" by Risa Tachibana starts off by describing the emotions of the singer towards the person they love. The chorus "瞳に天気雨 泣き真似で 困らせたの" means that the person in front of the singer is crying fake tears to confuse them. The singer goes on to explain that they love this person so dearly, but it's not fair for them to play these games. My Boy" means that the singer wants the person to come clean about their feelings and intentions, instead of being sly.
The second verse references a "ビッグコーン" which means "big corn", a Japanese ice cream treat, suggesting that the singer is at an ice cream shop. The singer urges the person they love to confess their feelings before the ice cream melts. The next line "カフェテラス 濡れた Bikeも 国道で乾く頃よ" tells us that the singer and the person they love have gone on a bike ride to a cafe terrace. The rain has stopped and they can enjoy the summer weather, waiting for their bikes to dry off in the sun. The singer then expresses their desire to spend the day with the person they love and ride with them to the beach, which is the destination they desire to run to.
In the bridge, the singer raises concerns about the relationship coming to an end. The "土曜の天気雨 日曜がこれで 決まる" line expresses the importance of the timing of a rainy day, deciding what will happen the next day. The singer wonders if their relationship will be decided by the changing of the weather. The last verse is the singer reminiscing about a conversation with the person they love. They realize that the person they love has been out enjoying the sun, while the singer has been yearning for their return. The song ends with the singer apologizing for pretending to cry, and hopes that the person they love can admit their feelings and says "好きなんだ" or I love you.
