He began writing music in high school under the influence of Studio Ghibli anime.
The first song featuring Hatsune Miku was created by the composer in the summer of 2008. The second song, created by the composer (Melody in the sky), written by the same summer, has gained immense popularity in the Nico nico douga. In 2011, the producer wrote the opening theme for the anime series FAIRY TAIL. He also wrote the music for the anime series "Evidence" and "Daisy×Daisy".
Many of his works have hundred-thousands of views at Nico Nico Douga. He married Chano — a Nico Nico Douga singer. Some of his famous works include “トリノコシティ” (Torinoko City), “タイムマシン” (Time Machine), “巨大少女” (Kyoudai Shoujo), and “妄想スケッチ” (Mousou Sketch).

The lyrics of 40mP's song 少年カメラ (shounen kamera) talks about the differences in perception between two individuals and how those differences bring them together. The song begins by acknowledging that what one person sees and what another person sees may be slightly different, but that is why they are together. The first verse describes the sun and the moon, stating that they are both shy and lonely in their own ways, and asks what kind of world appears on the film of the listener's heart. キャラクターが出るわけでもなく、ストーリーがあるわけでもなく、ただ大空に向かってわーーっと家族への愛や恋や寂しさを歌うようなこの頃の曲が大好きでした。最近の作風にとやかく言いたい訳では無いですが。40さんが曲作りを嫌いにならないでいてくれていて幸せだなと思います。
