Always in My Heart
A.I.P. Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Here we are
The two of us together
I feel it in my heart
We can change the world
Forever
If you want me too
I'll be there for you
Just remember
Deep in my heart
A valley so true
I want to know
Where to start
And, baby
Deep in my heart
There are miracles too
Just let me know
How to start
Deep in your heart
Like a falling star
That shines in stormy weathers
I'll be where you are
As long as we're together
I will trust in you
Though your days are blue
Just remember
Deep in my heart
A valley so true
I want to know
Where to start
And, baby
Deep in my heart
There are miracles too
Just let me know
How to start
Deep in your heart
Deep in my heart
A valley so true
I want to know
Where to start
And, baby
Deep in my heart it's true
I will follow you
Deep in my heart it's true
I'll be there for you
Deep in my heart
A valley so true
I want to know

Where to start
Deep in my heart

I jumped into AIP right after consulting a holistic nutritionist with supporting guidelines and recipes. She explained everything to me, on how AIP will reduce inflammation and active symptoms, it made sense to me, I want to feel better, so it's very easy for me to take in AIP concept and start this journey!
So I went grocery shopping and cleared my fridge and pantry after I got home. I quit grains, legumes, soy, nightshades cold turkey and I already give up dairy and processed sugar before AIP anyway, I'm a non- drinker as well. The hardest thing for me is to give up is egg, so that was the first thing I reintroduced, and I don't have noticeable reactions ( compare to avocado and plantain they gave me a horrible stomachache even though they are AIP LOL) now I do occasionally eat eggs. I tried to reintroduce sesame oil too, and I notice increased mucus production.
It's easy for me to give up eating certain stuff, but It's hard for me to try new stuff in the AIP like carob, arrowroot, tiger nut as I'm afraid I will have the same reaction to avocados, I guess I will use the re-intro method to try new foods LOL.

RealWorldAIP

If you have a fodmap intolerance the carob might be an issue. It's totally fine to do AIP without all the specialty ingredients, whole real food is best anyway. That's wonderful that you were able to reintroduce eggs successfully!

You are making a difference in my life! I have been on AIP for months! The problem is I cheat every couple of weeks. I found out that I am addicted to carbs. So I am dealing with that first. That means no more plantain crackers or plantain banana bread or a spoon of honey. Because of my carb addiction, those foods are a no no for me (once I start eating them, I can't stop). Thank you for your videaos and your pupper is sooooo cute!!!

We need the tough love sometimes, there’s too much pampering out there. Good video 👍🏼

RealWorldAIP

Thanks Amber! I tend to enjoy the tough love approach for myself, but have learned that it's not always well received by others, lol!! I'm so glad you liked the video!

When I first started I found it difficult, but the improvement in how I felt made doing anything else unthinkable. Now I've been at it for a while and am finding it more challenging because I haven't been able to get to the underlying issue. Do you happen to know what is implicated if I can't tolerate any starchy veg at all. No squash, sweet potato, cassava, coconut, yucca, taro, plantain, even jicama. I'm good with carrots though. Also is it ever advisable to prescribe an immune stimulant to an autoimmune patient. My new naturopathic dr. gave me berberine from goldenseal and I had the worst flare of my life.

inesgoncalves

Hello there. I've been eating AIP for 3 Years and I also can't do starch. Carrots have less starch content and sometimes they might even pass the iodine test - do you test your food? Anyway, just to say that starch might give a hard time to anyone with any type of arthritis and specifically people with the hb27 gene, because of the klebsiella bacteria. Do any of these match your diagnosis?

Clarityisgood

@inesgoncalves Hi. I just googled iodine test. This is the first time I'm hearing of it, so of course I've never tested my food. How did you learn of this? From a functional dr? Do you test your food? I believe I have rheumatoid but my blood test didn't show any markers so I'll be checking with my dr. to see what the next step is. Also just googled the hb27 gene. First time I'm hearing about that too. You're full of interesting info. I'll check if my dr. if she is willing order a blood test for my haplotype. This is all so complicated and overwhelming, but I'm trying to take it one day at a time. Thanks for your input!

inesgoncalves

@Clarityisgood Glad I could give you something to look into :) hope it helps!
I don't have any markers either... And I don't even have that gene, actually. I also never went to a functional doctor mostly because I don't even know where to go, in my country. But I was diagnosed with arthritis as a baby and had a hell of a journey since then, so when I got tired of drugs and pain and took matters into my hands, I'd had a lot of time and info in which to base my research, At the time I first read about the AIP diet I was also facing a possible, still not confirmed, AS (without the gene) diagnosis. So I looked at specific AS diets as well (kickas.org) and read cientific studies on AS - that's how I found out about the klebsiella bacteria. I also used the Paleo Mom and the Phoenix Healix (she also talks about starch) blogs which are extremely helpful!! And last but not least, there's a great Facebook group on the AIP diet :) you should join :) People really help each other out, travelling the diet and different diagnosis.
And if you ever need anything or just want to talk, let me know.
