We might not be
A.I.P. Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I won't tell you that it's gon' be ok
And I can't see the sun through all the darkened rays
I don't claim to have the answer, it's more than some can say
I won't tell you that it's gon' be ok
It might not be ok

Mommas been cryin' and they gon' keep cryin'
Black folk been dyin' and they gon' keep dyin'
Police been firin' and they gon' keep firin'
The government been lyin' and they gon' keep lyin'
Propaganda news channels, that shit is all for show
Camera phone videos is like all we know
Diluting what an eye witness might really say
Because the whole world saw a murder yesterday
Now your account ain't what it used to be
According to them your eyes can't adjust to the violence you ain't used to see
Police brutality is all in your mind
And the tactics that they use only look worse in rewind
And people die everyday, you should get used to it
Hands behind yo' back, face down, and still say you shootin'
Can't breathe
Knee where your neck be like why you movin'?
Kids in your car and they on like what you doin'?
Like why you chillin'? Fuck yo' feelin's
Why you smilin' when I'm so serious?
I ain't patrolling your space, like why you livin'?
Stop asking questions, why you filmin'?
You look suspicious, I think you dealin'
Step out the car, fit the description
Someone I feel, I need a killing
Blood on the curb, I didn't spill it
'Nother civilian, 'nother not guilty
'Nother T-shirt, 'nother rap lyric
'Nother life gone, I can't forgive it

I won't tell you that it's gon' be ok
And I can't see the sun through all the darkened rays
I don't claim to have the answer, it's more than some can say

I won't tell you that it's gon' be ok
It might not be ok

Avocados are good fats in an autoimmune diet with inclusion of bananas, raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries. Oranges also do good. Above all, look out for moderation of fructose.

exactly. Great advice!

Hi, Michelle! I was very recently diagnosed with Graves' Disease, and am going to attempt to "heal" it naturally, by following AIP. One of the biggest questions I have is what constitutes a "reaction" when reintroducing foods? The only symptoms I currently have are hair loss and rosacea. I don't know how I would know if I was having a reaction to something during reintroduction. I would really appreciate some clarification. Thanks so much!

Laughing, not laughing. Yeah that about sums it up.

To be clearer on my side, I don't have any food sensitivities that I know of. I cannot even imagine a life without beans and nuts. When I told my husband I couldn't have those two things for 30-60 days, he felt more sorry for me than when I told him about the diagnosis (laughing, not laughing).

Hi Michelle! Do you think you will do some Thanksgiving themed posts? I’m finding it hard to narrow down what items i should make for myself, that are AIP and what to keep from my old list of things I make for my family. I feel like Monica from Friends when she had to make everyone’s favorite foods!!!! I’m AIP, my son is severely allergic to peanuts and tree nuts and my husband ( who is normally on carnivore ) has decided Thanksgiving is his “treat day”. HALP!!!! Lol 🤪

I dont mean to be off topic but does any of you know a method to log back into an Instagram account??
I stupidly forgot my password. I would love any help you can give me

Hi Anna - Unfortunately I'm not going to be doing one that's specifically AIP this year (we're going away so not a lot of time), but I wrote this post a few years ago which details what we typically do: https://thrivingonpaleo.com/our-paleo-thanksgiving-menu/ . It's Paleo, not AIP, but there are quite a few items that can easily be modified to be AIP - the gravy is fine (but you can switch out chicken stock for the white wine if desired), switch the nutmeg with mace for the sweet potato casserole and use coconut oil instead of ghee but otherwise it's all AIP - even the marshmallows!, omit the pistachios and black pepper from the brussels sprouts, and the cranberry sauce is fine. The desserts aren't compliant, but I've had this one before and it's yummy: http://grazedandenthused.com/aip-pumpkin-pie-2050/ . So if I WERE to do an AIP-compliant Thanksgiving, that's what I'd do.... My family loves and adores all of these (especially the sweet potato casserole with marshmallows) so I just make one meal for all of us. Hopefully this helps, but feel free to ask any other questions about it :-)
