The End
Air Lyrics

Oh yeah, all right
Are you going to be in my dreams
Tonight?

And in the end

The love you take
Is equal to the love you make.

Overall Meaning

The opening lines of Air's song The End seem to be a question, with the singer asking if the person they are addressing will be in their dreams that night. It's a simple, almost innocent question that invites the listener to join the singer in a world of fantasy and imagination. The dream world is a place of possibility, where anything can happen, and the singer seems to be longing for someone to join them in that space. The repeated "oh yeah, all right" is a sort of affirmation, a way of acknowledging that the listener is still with them and still listening.

The final lines of the song are a poignant statement about the power of love. "In the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make" suggests that the singer believes that love is something that must be given in order to be received. The idea of reciprocity is present here, suggesting that if you give love freely, you will also receive it. It's a hopeful sentiment that suggests that love is something that can be shared and multiplied, rather than something that is finite.

Overall, The End is a song that deals with ideas of connection, desire, and the innate human need for companionship. It's a song that invites the listener to join the singer in a dream world, where anything is possible, and where love is the currency that binds everything together.

Farewell song (AIR - ED)
Lia

OKAY, TELL ME HOW COULD THIS MASTERPIECE BECAME AN UNDERRATED ANIME

Matthew Clemence

Air TV is debatable and because most people hate it it sinks. Shame because the Minagi/Michiru story means alot when you hear you could have had another sibling but they died before/after you. It's pretty emo.

But this song sound wise is still very strong.

takigan

It's emotionally rich with truckloads of heart, but not exactly the best written show.

Pumpurrnickel

"Masterpiece" is quite the strong word. It's hard to understand what happened, at least on the first watch. A lot of people also thought Yukito turning into a crow was dumb. I used to be part of this group but was for some reason entranced with the anime anyway. So I rewatched it a year later and enjoyed it more. But I honestly can't fault people for finding it to be one of the lesser Key anime.

Zen

This song has 2000's anime written all over it and I love it even more than the intro.

gndiego

My favorite ending scene in all anime.
