With Teleradio Donoso's breakup, Alex started to record tracks with a clear different style, without guitars and with a strong use of synthetizers. The project called «Odisea» finally releases its record in August 2010, with «Cabros» being its first promotional single.
In September 2011, Alex Anwandter releases a new single called «Tatuaje», this time abandoning his «Odisea» pseudonym and using his real name. On October 26th, 2011, Anwandter releases «Rebeldes», his second solo album and first one released with his real name.
Odio a Todo el Mundo
Alex Anwandter Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
Me siento loca
Y prefiero encerrarme en mi casa
Odio a todo el mundo
Y el mundo me odia
En mi cuadra todos nos quieren matar
El presidente bufón
Apretaba un botón
Y este mundo
Este odio
Se esfumó
Todos te están mirando
Me desespera
Cantar mi balada entre la perversión sexual
No puedo votar al muro
No puedo hacer nada
Encerrado en mi jaula cambio el canal
Tuve un sueño profundo
(Tuve un sueño profundo)
El presidente bufón
(El presidente bufón)
Apretaba un botón (oh)
Y este mundo (oh)
Que me odia (oh)
Se esfumó
Tuve un sueño profundo (Tuve un sueño profundo)
El presidente bufón (El presidente bufón)
Apretaba un botón (oh)
Y este mundo (oh)
¡Yo, Cómo padre de quince niños!
No puedo hacer nada mal
The lyrics to Alex Anwandter's song "Odio a Todo el Mundo" delve into feelings of alienation, frustration, and a sense of powerlessness in a world full of hate and hostility. The singer expresses a deep-seated hatred towards everyone around them, feeling overwhelmed by their own emotions and choosing to retreat into the safety of their home as a coping mechanism. This sentiment is reinforced by the line "Y el mundo me odia" (And the world hates me), suggesting a mutual sense of animosity between the singer and society.
The lyrics also touch on themes of social and political disillusionment, with references to a "presidente bufón" (clown president) who symbolizes incompetence and recklessness. The image of this president pushing a button that makes the hatred and chaos of the world disappear can be seen as a metaphor for the desire for a radical change or escape from the oppressive environment that the singer finds themselves in. This dream sequence serves as a moment of catharsis or wish fulfillment amidst the turmoil of reality.
The mention of being watched and feeling pressure to perform in the face of sexual perversion reflects a sense of vulnerability and unease in a society that demands conformity and struggles with darker, more complex issues. The singer feels trapped and unable to take action, symbolized by the inability to "votar al muro" (vote for the wall) or effect any meaningful change. This feeling of being stuck in a metaphorical cage is palpable throughout the song, emphasizing a sense of impotence and frustration.
The final lines of the song introduce a poignant shift in perspective, as the singer imagines themselves as a father of fifteen children, highlighting the responsibilities and burdens that come with societal expectations and limitations. The sense of powerlessness and resignation is juxtaposed with a desire to protect and provide for their imagined family, suggesting a complex interplay between personal struggles and larger social forces. Overall, "Odio a Todo el Mundo" conveys a mix of anger, disillusionment, and longing for a more hopeful and empathetic world.
