He is perhaps best known as a regular contributor to "Lick Library", a dealer of guitar tuition videos, books and cds, where James specialises in teaching lead techniques for heavy rock and metal. Aside from this, James has also recorded solo albums in the wake of chaos, machine and andy james and is a member of the band sacred mother tongue. In his solo recordings Andy exhibits a predominant influence of Joe Satriani as well as other comparable guitar legends. His music is also influenced by metalcore bands, for ex. Killswitch Engageand in my humble opinion probably the best guitarist in the world so underated 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸

Still remains the best Andy track for me. Has absolutely everything in it. He toys with a little softer rock in this and thats just a measure of Andy's playing. Never forgets his metal roots though.

This is a truly beautiful piece, though for peoples information, on the DVD he only teaches the bit from 3:49 - 4:37, though the rest isn't that difficult to decipher when slowed down

your opinion Steve Vai is an amazing guitarist I respect all the others too for there hard work and determination most of all there love and Passion for playing , but I will say Andy is Special gift he has a captivating sound and the way he performs is outrageously great, I don't knock down a fellow Guitarist

Wat i like about songs like wat lies beneath and this is that these songs have a very vocal like quality. It really feels like a whole band is playing with the amazing Harmony of the vocalist filling the song with extremely beautiful melodic feel. I m not saying that andy's shreddy stuff doesn't have feel n all that but tbh if its songs like these that makes the guitar sing
