Arab Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
In "1 in 2", Arab reflects on a tumultuous relationship where he is struggling to come to terms with his partner's infidelity. The song begins with him pointing out a fact that his partner herself has admitted to - that she flirts with other people, which hurts Arab. He then goes on to express his difficulty in not taking things lightly, stating that he is always in a huff. He acknowledges that his partner's infidelity may have only happened once, but questions whether that's enough to shake their relationship. The anger and frustration in Arab's voice become more apparent in the second verse, where he tells his partner to just shut up and explain the situation to him. He can only picture her with another man, grabbing her breasts. The chorus reveals a rather cold side of Arab, saying that his partner's belongings will be thrown out if her number isn't stored in his phone.
Overall, the song portrays a relationship that is on the rocks due to infidelity and Arab's inability to handle the situation. He is hurt and angry, and seemingly trying to keep his emotions in check through harsh actions like throwing out his partner's items if her number is not saved in his phone.
