Married to Alisa Daniels, July 2002 - they divorced in 2005. He lived with Geneva Jacuzzi for seven years until early 2011.
He has since caught the attention of various media sources, especially in the Los Angeles area. As most of his albums are self-made, many of them have never been heard by fans. The only albums which have been commercially released come from his "Haunted Graffiti" series and are thus the best known.
Pink produces and plays almost all of his own music, and is noted for creating drum sounds using primarily his mouth, and sometimes his armpits. His home recording technique gives his music a very lo-fi sound, to the point where new listeners may mistake the era of his music.
Pink cites R. Stevie Moore--friend, mentor, and "father of home recording"--as one of his major influences. He is sometimes associated with the New Weird America movement, and could also be considered an embodiment of 'The New Sincerity'. Pink boasts a cult following and endorsements from more widely known artists such as fellow Paw Tracks artists Animal Collective.
Aside from his music, Pink also makes semi-abstract and surreal grotesque drawings, which can be purchased from his unofficial website, ARIEL PINK haunted house, for a hefty price.

She's out of control
She wants something, she can't say the words out loud
Tell her a story or sing her a lullaby
My baby is cryin'
Trying to get her to stop cryin' so loud
Baby's cryin'
Night after night, don't sleep
Can't be too good for neither her nor me
Rocking her cradle, it goes up and down
Doesn't seem to help it only serves to disturb her
Baby's cryin'
Trying to keep my neighbors off my front door
Baby's cryin'
I'm too tired to keep trying to get her to get tired no more
What's left?
I've tried everything
What's left? i don't know!
We've got a problem here
She wants something she can't explain, i know
All I can do is stay by her side
Tell her a story or sing her a lullaby
Baby's cryin'
Trying to get her to stop cryin' so loud
Baby's cryin'
Cause I can't give her what she don't know what she wants
Such a crybaby
Such a crybaby
The lyrics to Ariel Pink's song Crybaby tell a story about a parent struggling to soothe their crying baby. The song begins with the line "We got a problem here" which sets the tone for the rest of the lyrics. The baby is out of control and wants something but cannot express it in words. The parent tries to pacify the baby by telling her a story or singing a lullaby. However, nothing seems to help, and the baby keeps crying relentlessly, disturbing the parent's and the neighbors' sleep.
As the parent tries everything to calm the baby down, they come to a realization that they cannot give the baby something they do not know they want. The lyrics "Cause I can't give her what she don't know what she wants" highlight the frustration that the parent feels. The constant night after night of crying further exacerbates the problem, and the parent is too tired to keep trying. The song ends with the line "Such a crybaby" which conveys the parent's acceptance of the situation.
The song Crybaby captures the struggles of parenthood and the challenges involved in calming a crying baby. It showcases the emotional rollercoaster that parents experience trying to understand and fulfill their child's needs.
