Debut single 'When The Night Is Cold' was released in 1988. This song was not to be on debut album 'Disco Extravaganza' released in 1990 (re-named 'Army of Lovers when released in USA & UK in 1991). This was followed by the album 'Massive Luxury Overdose' (1991). La Camilla left the band and released a single 'I Am Not In The Mood For Lovers'. The Group replaced La Camilla with Michaela De La Cour, they re-released 'Massive Luxury Overdose' with extra tracks & with De La Cour on the new album artwork.

Venus and Mars
The sky
Across the rainbow
I find my halo
Venus and Mars
I saw a star
The sky
Across the rainbow
I find my halo
Venus and Mars
The clock of time the night of doom
An angel passing through my room
Dark shadows fade the lights away
Like birds of prey
I saw a star
Venus and Mars
The sky
Across the rainbow
I find my halo
Venus and Mars
I saw a star
Venus and Mars
The sky
Across the rainbow
I find my halo
Venus and Mars
The sun the moon the flaming sky
A wandering star in heavens high
Tonight we dream on broken glass
Oh razzmatazz
I saw a star
Venus and Mars
The sky
Across the rainbow
I find my halo
Venus and Mars
I saw a star
Venus and Mars
The sky
Across the rainbow
I find my halo
Venus and Mars
The lyrics of Army of Lovers' "Venus and Mars" are highly metaphorical, referencing celestial bodies to speak on themes of love, loss, and the passing of time. The repeated refrain of "I saw a star/Venus and Mars/The sky/Across the rainbow/I find my halo" sets the tone for the song's ethereal atmosphere. The line "Across the rainbow/I find my halo" speaks to the idea of finding oneself or one's center, while the reference to Venus and Mars as stars in the sky adds a sense of grandeur and universal significance to this quest for self-discovery.
Later in the song, the lines "The clock of time the night of doom/An angel passing through my room" suggest a sense of urgency and perhaps reckoning with mortality. The "angel passing through" could represent death or the fleetingness of life. The lyrics also touch on the idea of darkness and light, with "Dark shadows fade the lights away/Like birds of prey." This further emphasizes the tension between life and death, as well as the ephemeral nature of light and the inevitability of darkness.
