The song "Kamaal Ho Gaya" is a celebration of life and the joys that come with it. The lyrics describe the magical properties of a particular type of laddoo that can turn back the clock and make the elderly young again. The singer marvels at the wonder of this sweet, which brings the city to a standstill as people dance and celebrate its power.
Throughout the song, the singer emphasizes the transformative qualities of the laddoo. It is described as "bhanga-wale," meaning that it contains bhang, a type of cannabis associated with spiritual practices in India. This ingredient is said to give the laddoo its magical properties, which can make even a 60-year-old person feel 16 again. The repetition of the phrase "kamaal ho gaya" emphasizes the incredible nature of this phenomenon.
At the same time, the song acknowledges the transience of life. The singer notes that those who partake of the laddoo may dance and feel young again, but their hearts cannot be tamed. The final lines of the song suggest that even the authorities cannot resist the power of the laddoo, as even a police officer is transformed by its magic.
Overall, the song is a joyful celebration of the pleasures of life and the power of sweet treats to make us feel young again.
