Save A Horse
Big & Rich Lyrics

Dumb-de-de-dumb, de-de-dumb-de-de-dumb, de-daa-daaaaa
Dumb-de-de-dumb, de-de-dumb-de-de-dumb, de-daa-daa-daa-daa-daaaa

Well, I walk into the room
Passing out hundred dollar bills
And it kills, and it thrills, like the horns on my Silverado grill
And I buy the bar a double round of Crown
And everybody's gettin' down
And this town, ain't never gonna be the same

'Cause I saddle up my horse
And I ride into the city
I make a lot of noise
'Cause the girls
They are so pretty
Riding up and down Broadway
On my old stud Leroy
And the girls say
Save a horse, ride a cowboy
Everybody says
Save a horse, ride a cowboy

Well, I don't give a dang about nothing
I'm singing and bling blinging
While the girls are drinking
Long necks down
And I wouldn't trade ol' Leroy
Or my Chevrolet for your Escalade
Or your freak parade
I'm the only John Wayne left in this town

When I saddle up my horse
And I ride into the city
I make a lot of noise
'Cause the girls
They are so pretty
Riding up and down Broadway
On my old stud Leroy
And the girls say
Save a horse, ride a cowboy
Everybody says
Save a horse, ride a cowboy

Well, I'm a thoroughbred
That's what she said
In the back of my truck bed
As I was gettin' buzzed on suds
Out on some back country road
We where flying high, fine as wine
Having ourselves a Big and Rich time
And I was going just about as far as she'd let me go
But her evaluation
Of my cowboy reputation
Had me begging for salvation
All night long
So I took her out giggin' frogs
Introduced her to my ol' bird dog
And sang her every Willie Nelson song I could think of
And we made love

And I saddled up my horse
And I ride into the city
I make a lot of noise
'Cause the girls
They are so pretty
Riding up and down Broadway
On my old stud Leroy
And the girls say
Save a horse, ride a cowboy
Everybody says
Save a horse, ride a cowboy

What? What?
Save a horse ride a cowboy

Everybody says
Save a horse ride a cowboy

Overall Meaning

The song "Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)" by Big & Rich is a high-energy country anthem filled with playful lyrics about living in the moment and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. The song begins with a catchy riff before exploding into a fast-paced chorus that immediately captures the listener's attention. The lyrics describe a carefree cowboy who walks into a bar, buys the crowd a round of drinks, and sets the town on fire with his wild antics. He then jumps on his horse and rides into the city, turning heads and making a lot of noise. The girls love him and want to ride him, and the chorus encourages them to "save a horse, ride a cowboy."

The verses of the song further explore the cowboy's wild lifestyle. He doesn't care about material possessions or what people think of him. He's just there to have a good time and let loose. The bridge of the song slows things down a bit, with the cowboy reminiscing about a romantic encounter he had with a girl in his truck. He then takes her out to go frog gigging and serenades her with Willie Nelson songs before making love to her. The song wraps up with another rousing chorus that invites everyone to join in on the fun.

Overall, "Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)" is a fun and playful song that celebrates living life to the fullest and embracing one's inner cowboy spirit.

Forgotten bangers. This song is badass. If it came out today this video would have over a billion views. It's got everything. Great riff, great lyrics, its edgy, it's unapologetic and in your face, yet you can't help but groove with it, it's a freak parade, it really was before it's time.

Yes and no. John Rich is especially outspoken against the establishment of these two. Their talent is all there, and if the music industry was about talent alone, they'd be headlining the biggest shows ever. But it's not, and they shove dipshits like Garth Brooks and Luke Bryan down everyone's throats.

@weepy1001

Absolutely
