1. Formed by Nagy Feró and Németh Alajos in 1982, Budapest, Hungary, Bikini is one of the most successful Hungarian rock band of the eighties. Nagy Feró's (also known as "the cockroach of the nation", as he called himself) former punk band, the legendary Beatrice split up in 1982, after having serious problems with communist authorities, when they formed this band.
The band music and lyrics was, like much of the communist era, filled with hidden meanings against the oppression. With Nagy Feró in the front of the Bikini they produced two studio albums, which were very progressive, post modern punk rock albums. Their debut was "Hová lett?" (1983), followed by the "XX. századi híradó" (1984) one year later. However as the eroding of Hungarian communist regime became more obvious and faster, Feró left the Bikini for reuniting the Beatrice.
In 1985 D. Nagy Lajos arrived to the band as a lead singer, when they progressed to a more accessible and melodic rock sound, and produced legendary and very successful hit songs like "Közeli helyeken" or "Ki visz haza?", which are still very popular and often played in Hungary. The band split up in 1992 but reunited in 1997.
Members are: D. Nagy Lajos, Németh Alajos, Lukács Peta, Mihalik Viktor, Makovics Dénes, Bördén Szabolcs.
Some former members are:

2. Bikini (electro-pop dance music duo) is Nigel Diamond and Olivier Olivier. Their music is like Salinger on MDMA. Diamond is originally from Miami and Olivier was classically trained at the Royal Conservatory.
Olivier Olivier is the son of the late Indian poet Fateh Bains and moved to Canada where he attended Glen-Lyon Norfolk School, a school chosen for its musical program affiliated with the Royal Conservatory of Music. It was here Olivier met Nigel Diamond, who was sent down after he was expelled from his previous school.
It wasn’t until after Glen-Lyon Norfolk that the two began to make music together. Olivier composes all the melodies in the fall of each year, drawing his inspiration from the poetry he writes during the summer. He records vocals, exports all his drafts without titles or form to Diamond. Diamond spends the following spring arranging Olivier's melodies, rhythm sequences and vocal treatments, adding his own lines. The result is a finished record. Nothing is sent back to Olivier. The songs are then sent from Diamond to be mastered and released.

Hagy öntsek pár csepp mézet a keserű pohárba.
Szeretetéhség hozott ebbe a csapdába.
Ez nem lehet az én életem,
A magány nem lehet a végzetem, talán
Csak ebben az álomban létezem,
Segíts hát, hogy felébredjek!
Eltévedtem a mennyország felé félúton.
Az utat sajnos visszafelé már jól tudom.
Eltévedtem a mennyország felé félúton.
Az utat sajnos csak visszafelé,
A sötétség felé, a hazugság felé tudom.
Apró lánggal a hatalmas máglya gyújtható.
Eltévedtem a mennyország felé félúton.
Az utat sajnos visszafelé már jól tudom.
Eltévedtem a mennyország felé félúton.
Az utat sajnos csak visszafelé,
A sötétség felé, a hazugság felé tudom.
The lyrics to Bikini's song A mennyország felé (Toward Heaven) express a deep yearning for love and connection in a seemingly dark and lonely world. The singer asks for help in bringing light to their life and sweetness to their bitterness. They feel trapped in their hunger for love and wish to wake up from the dream that is their existence. They feel lost, navigating the journey toward heaven, and seem resigned to the fact that the only path they know is one that leads back into darkness, lies, and deceit. Despite their belief in the possibility of kindling a small flame and overcoming obstacles, the singer ultimately loses faith in their ability to overcome and merely hopes for the freedom of soaring far away.
This sense of longing and resignation is reflected in the song's slow, mournful melody, as well as in its repeated phrases and refrains. The use of imagery, such as referencing a bitter cup and a great flaming pyre, heightens the emotional impact of the lyrics. The theme of struggling to find one's way toward a seemingly unattainable goal is a common one in Bikini's music, as is the use of poetic language that gives voice to deep emotions.

Ez egy remek, de nagyon alul értékelt csapat. Egyenletes teljesítmény, okos, őszinte szövegek és mégis jó bulizene.

Nekem ezek a számok újak. Nem ebben a világban nőttem fel. Végre megértem, és örömömbe majdnem belehalok. Csak azt nem értem, hogy az a korosztály, aki ilyen zenén nőtt fel azok ma hol vannak? A Bikini megtette a magáét. És ti?
