Bring It On Home
Bob Dylan and The Band Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Bring it home, it's green light, go
Nothing can stop me from bringing it home

Just bring it home
(Bring it home)
(Why don't you) Bring it home?
(Just bring it, just bring it, just bring it)
The final chapter what you see
I see people front of me
A sound, so loud
It engulfs me totally

My final chapter, my setting sun
No looking back all down to one
Sound so loud

My blood's pumping, I can't breathe
It's all that I'm feeling
It's all that I'm hearing

Just bring it home
(Why don't you) Bring it home?
(Just bring it, just bring it, just bring it)

Just bring it home, it's green light go
Nothing can stop me from bringing it home
(Why don't you) Bring it home
It's green light, go
Nothing can stop me
No, nothing can stop me

The final chapter when it's done
No, we're back again, I've won
The sound, so loud
It engulfs me totally

My final chapter might never stop
Until the end we feel the rush
Sound so loud

No second chance
No time to beat
I may, displayed involves me totally

My final take, my empty slate
My fingers break, we're gonna make
A sound, so loud

My blood's pumping, I can't breathe
It's all that I'm feeling
It's all that I'm hearing

Just bring it home
(Why don't you) Bring it home?
(Just bring it, just bring it, just bring it)

Just bring it home
It's green light go
Nothing can stop me from bringing it home
(Why don't you) Bring it home
It's green light, go
Nothing can stop me
No, nothing can stop me

(It's all that I hearing)
Just bring it home
(It's all that I'm feeling)
It's green light, go

(It's all that I'm hearing)
Just bring it home
Nothing can stop me
No, nothing can stop me

Just bring it home (My final chapter, what you see)
It's green light, go (I see people in front of me)
Nothing can stop me (A sound, so loud)
From bringing it home (It engulfs me totally)

Just bring it home (My final chapter, my setting sun)
It's green light, go (No looking back, all down to one)
Nothing can stop me (A sound. so loud)

Nothing can stop me
Just bring it home

@TheDadsDaughter

My dad loved Bob Dylan. Dylan was his all time favourite. We lost him 18th January at the age of 58. So excuse me whilst i sit and fall apart as this hits the soul even more now than ever.

@merk9569

I am so sorry for your loss. I have some idea of what you are going through. My father died at 42 when I was 12, sixty years ago. Bob Dylan helped me get through the following years. I will be fulfilling a lifelong dream- I will finally see Mr. Tambourine Man in concert in 11 days! I’m old but still going. 😂

@drmaresky

don't fall apart on me...

I am approaching 90, and Bob Dylan music had been my go-to and chief comforter since my early days as eager immigrant for American culture. Hooked to Bob since his music was a staple at New York radio station WBAI, and I’m now reliving the old days over the current offering on YouTube!

@frankboyd.

May you stay Forever Young.
