The debut album titled Man In the Machine tells the haunting story of a man questioning one’s purpose in life , juxtaposed against a similarly struggling machine.

Man In The Machine is a unique musical experience. An emotional journey that takes you on a mesmerizing trip you won’t soon forget. Features guest appearances of Sarah Nichols (Harp – Royal Conservatory The Hague), Keith Wallace (Spoken word) and Indigo Smith-Poelz (Violin).

Influences: Skepticism, Tiamat, Depeche Mode, Recoil, Anathema, In The Woods, Tangerine Dream.

Chris van der Linden is band lead/singer in experimental rockband Fourteen Twentysix (2006-present) and played drums in Sweet Assembler (2003-2006) amongst other projects.
Van der Linden started Bow early 2012 as an alias to freely experiment and explore new musical avenues. Working out of his home studio in Eersel, The Netherlands, Chris releases his music to fans around the world in a very personal way, ambitiously carving its own unique space, far outside the mainstream and majors.

This one day during my adolescence I was out with my friends shooting our BB guns. One of my friends produced a .22 LR rimfire round from his pocket. Like the budding genius I was I decided I would lay the round on the railroad tracks, and try and set it off with a BB strike from my rifle. I got in position with the muzzle of my BB gun about an inch from the round. I looked up and said "should I do this?" The general consensus of the group was it doesn't really matter because it won't work. I go "fair enough", pull the trigger, and CRAAACK. Not only did the round discharge on the very first shot, but it turned around, entered my cheek, and broke 2 of my teeth. Evidently the lack of barrel caused under-pressure, and slowed the round down enough to save my stupid life. All these years later you can barely see the scar, but being one of the few men alive who successfully shot themselves in the face with a .22 LR round using only a Daisy BB gun is mine to claim forever....

A friend was a deputy for the Caldwell County Sheriff's department for 19 years. He told me once they went on a domestic call and an arrow stuck in to the side of the house, 2 inches from his head. The suspect was in full camo hiding in the treeline of the woods behind the house. He kept flinging arrows at them and they couldn't tell where he was. He eventually ran out of arrows and no one was hurt. I can't imagine how terrifying it would be to take fire from an invisible enemy firing a nearly inaudible weapon.

There is a case in Phoenix a PD officer told me about where a wife shot her husband with a compound bow. They think the first arrow got him in the thigh but while he lay facedown on the floor she walked around him and put every arrow in the house into his back. He did not survive.

Dont know if this is true or if it was just a rumor, but I remember hearing about a teenager who tried to rob my local gas station with a bow. This being in the rural South the clerk had a gun behind the counter and kindly persuaded the robber to gtfo before he put him to forever sleep. The clerk didn't even bother filing a police report because the whole town knew not to mess with him from that day forward.

This is hilarious. So me and my friend were shooting a tree stump with a crossbow, one of the medium size cheap ones with pastiche arrows, we took off the metal points and decided we should try shooting something out of my hand. I started walking away with a bottle in my hand and wasn’t going to do it. Well I Turned around and see the arrow/bolt straight to my face, like a lightning bolt, I got extremely lucky it hit below my lip above my chin, bounced off my jawbone over the fence and into the street. Felt like I got hit in the head with a brick. The angle was perfect because it was a small cut to the bone and I was able to close up the cut with butterfly bandage. Funny to hear someone else has been shot in the face with a crossbow. Glen if your out there I still forgive you. Lol.

My brother was at a bow and arrow shop getting new limbs for his recurve bow when some dude starts to break into his truck. He asks the store owner if he can borrow the bow for a minute, walks outside (his car was parked across the street), and the guy takes off running before he could get the door open.

The bow is a more effective weapon for sneak attacks as the natives used it for quite sometime even with muskets available, as the arrows allowed for stealth attacks and able to attack from various positions confusing their enemy. ref: Canadian history.

Hunting attachments for specific animals are quite scary... Most open up and are used for dismembering parts of the creature or causing mass bleed outs... The heads are quite complex in some cases, not like a broad head or dummy tip..

The bow incident took place near Nimbin, New South Wales, Australia. In the state of NSW, crossbows are pretty much illegal except those with a special exemption. Hence, using a compound bow in it's place. Nimbin is also known as the cannabis capitol of Australia. Dope and arrows are a poor combination.

I've got this only from the source of my dad, but he's also a police officer, so it makes sense he'd know this information

So about two years ago, the only gun shop in wales that still sold crossbows stopped selling crossbows. The reason? Because there was a spike in murders with crossbows in wales. I'm not entirely sure what stopping the sale of crossbows was for since, well, the criminals already had the crossbows. And they wouldn't be able to get them, since those murders would be on their record (I think, not entirely sure on Welsh gun laws, I live in England).

Anyway, that's my story of crossbow crime that isn't even my story. Don't know what stops Welsh people (that haven't crimed) from coming to England to buy a crossbow though.

My good buddy does life insurance investigations and one of his cases a few years ago was of a possible suicide where a man was found in his bed with a arrow in his chest and another arrow through his neck and out the back! There was a bow, not a crossbow, but the good old fashioned bow laying on the floor at the foot of his bed. Apparently, the man pulled the bow back with his feet and held the arrow with his toes(?), and twice at that?! Florida btw

Bro donut!! I literally had the same experience we and my brother where playing with arrows and I said hey chuck catch this! And shot him at ab 50 yards in the chest with the arrow, luckily it didn’t have a tip as well .... tbh it was an amazing shot tho lol

I was actually reading a story just today about a guy who just died after a month in hospital here in England after being shot by a crossbow. He was fixing an aerial on a ladder and they have no idea who is responsible. But you know, don't let me stop us being the whipping boys of this channel!

I know this video is over a year old but funny you talk about the crossbow in Minnesota because that happened in my hometown of Andover. It was the talk of the town for quit a while but the guy who shot the crossbow was known to be a little “off” according to the neighbors. Love the channel!!!

Funny coincidence, Donut: I am an Alabama cop and I too have been shot with a compound bow. I was at my brother's house watching the South Carolina vs Clemson game back in 2012. Alcohol was involved. We decided to test my brother's new bow during halftime. Long story short: Brother thought it would be funny to fire an arrow with no tip in my general direction while I was recovering the arrows already sent downrange. I too have a small scar in the small of my back from the experience.
