Yeah, yeah
Oh Lawd have his mercy
Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah
I can get you knocked for a hundred bands
Did a drive-by then they walked in
Icey on my block, its some Talibans
Show you like I tell you
Ask me if I change I tell you "Hell no"
Tatted in my arm to my fucking elbow
'Til they free my dawg from the prison cell
Know when I pull up in Benzo brand new Benzo
I might blow a couple bands just to make an entrance
Sold out dates on my calendar, check my credentials
All this ballin' might offend you, fuck up your mental
That's Balenci' on my toes, so don't buy the mall so
And the socks and the feet, probably even more so
Never send no shots to me 'cause I'm doing ten toes
I'ma send a couple shots to whoever sent you
(Boyoy)
Show you like I tell you
Ask me if I change I tell you "Hell no"
Tatted in my arm to my fucking elbow
Sticking to the code, you know I'm Velcro
Rollie that's a bust down, it's full of with diamonds
It don't tell the time but its 80 thousand
Bitch I'm rocking houses and large amounts are stuffed in my trousers
Bouncing with all your spouses, they get around us
Non stop, my ship is tip top
Don't you ever get it twisted for what it is not
Marijuana give me wisdom, fi run mi kingdom
Never ever has it been done, you never seen some
(Boyoy)
Show you like I tell you
Ask me if I change, I tell you "Hell no"
Tatted in my arm to my fucking elbow
Sticking to the code, you know I'm Velcro
Show you like I tell you
Ask me if I change, I tell you "Hell no"
Tatted in my arm to my fucking elbow
'Til they free my dog from a prison cell
I can get you knocked for a hundred bands
Did a drive-by then they walked in
Icey on my block, its some Talibans
Put you in a coffin, never breathe again
Cartier bust down on my sleeve
Keep the Draco when I sleep
Drank codeine, do speed
Walking through the back door, a hundred deep
Spent five racks on a tee
Off that kiddy counter AP
Givency, Givency, double Gs
Bad bitch come where ever I need
Legendary tatted on her knees
Twenty foreign cars, you won't believe
Diamond-diamonds on my neck, bullets in your torso
Gotta represent the set, fuck it, its on my elbow
Cut from a different cloth, should have been a gigolo
Only run with certified hitters in the circle
Anytime its violence, my niggas start to riot
Chopper get to ringing, can't be quiet
Real niggas always move in silence
Poppin' out whenever, I ain't hiding
I was born a rebel 'til I'm dying
You get wetter than a pool, I'll dive in
Balenciaga shoe, freestylin'
In the lyrics to Burna Boy's song Show & Tell, the artist confidently boasts about his wealth, success, and street credibility. This is evident from the opening lines, where he states that he can get someone “knocked for a hundred bands,” or $100,000, and describes a drive-by shooting followed by a walk-in. He also talks about his flashy lifestyle, from the expensive Benz he drives to the Balenciaga sneakers he wears. However, he emphasizes that despite his success, he has not changed and remains true to himself, sticking to the code like Velcro, and showing his loyalty to his friends who have been imprisoned. There is also an allusion to the use of illegal drugs, with mentions of codeine and speed, and the idea that marijuana gives him wisdom to run his “kingdom.”
The song mixes a variety of hip-hop and Afrobeat music features, including the use of double bass drums, electronic beats, and powerful horn sounds. Show & Tell also features a range of collaborations, including appearances by rapper Future, Nigerian musician Wizkid, and singer and producer Jeremih. The music video for the song, released in November 2019, features Burna Boy both in the studio and in a variety of urban settings, including a junkyard and a graffiti-covered alleyway. The video reflects Burna Boy's street-inspired style, with large gold chains, brightly-colored sneakers, and a sense of grungy, urban cool.
