@heizan If you didn't like it that's cool and everything but what I'm really tired of is this back and forth arguing about if the Lion King 2019 version was great or bad and for some people that hate the movie getting mad at people who loved it. It's 2021 almost about to be 2022 the movie has already been released, people can watch it on Disney +, and people can buy the DVD of it. So for people who didn't like it just let it go.

I just feel like every big moment is slightly mis-timed to the music in this version. The roar is too early, the lion cub is held up too soon etc. The original works perfectly and the difference with this is stark. Really odd editing decisions. They must have had their reasons, but I think it's undoubtedly worse than the original because of those decisions.

Wish they had the music in sync like the original. I understand they did for that finally bass drop for final roar but it didn’t feel right. The way the og had every note in sync and was perfect with every cut scene and is my favorite part of the movie. So the update of this one scene was a let down

Timing of the scene and music was off. If they'd extended the scene just a bit longer to match the music they might of nailed it. Just sucks cause it's such an epic scene and they could've totally gotten away with completely copying the original. I know I wouldn't have been mad about it🤷‍♀️

I know it seems nitpicking but this scene while still giving off the exact same feeling as the animated one just isn't as good.

My main two issues with the scene in this version is the fact Rafiki loses his line which imo was quite important for Simba to hear. And lastly the fact the walk up and the music when you've seen the original just don't match as well as they could. Like the main part of the soundtrack doesn't play till he's halfway up the rock.

Again this scene still gives off the same feeling as the original and the emotion is there, just imo the original version of this scene is the best

I have been a obsessed fan of lion king for as long as I can remember. I have this scene from the Disney movie tattoo'd on my leg as he walks up pride rock, it always makes me cry so when this scene came on I was ready for it but the timing was off. It may be me being picky but throughout the whole film I was just picturing the original and the way it was meant to be. It wasn't a bad film. The lion king is my favourite movie of all time so it was never going to be perfect in my eyes. But this scene is my favourite in the original movie and I would of loved it if it was the same.. xx

I agree. His walk up the rock just isn't as good as the animated version. Music feels off, the skull being washed away symbolizing moving on from the dead is gone, Simba's walk isn't slow and he don't see him struggle getting up like the original showing the weight was getting to him already he just needed Mufasa to say "Remember" to boost his confidence is gone.
