Chorale signed to Scandinavian A1 Music at winter 2003. The "Scooter of Finland" released their first album in 2005 and it entered the local album charts at #15.
Chorale's first singer was Maija-Helena Meskanen (Maikku) in 2000, but she performed only one tune (Huominen). In 2001 came Hanna-Leena Saarinen (Hansku), who sang thier few next eurodance tunes. In fall 2001 a girl from Tampere offered one of her tunes for them to remix. This is how Lydia Luoma-aho (born December 1977) found her way to Chorale and Rakkauden Maa was done.
Besides Chorale, Lydia also has a solo project called La Masina.

Joiku kaamosyhn raikaa
Shamaaninainen koittaa
Yksinist lasta kodassa lohduttaa
Laulaa loitsun pieneen neen
Toivoo surun jo taakse jneen
Taian tehon vain aika nytt
Kun revontulet taivaan tytt
Laulaa eejaa eejaa haa
Lapsi siihen nukahtaa
Taika taitaa vaikuttaa
Hn laulaa aa-uu-aa
Ja taika alkaa vaikuttaa
Hn laulaa aa-uu-aa
Silloin lapsi nukahtaa
Eeeejaaejaajeaaaa
Tummat silmt uneen taipuu
Silloin poistuu murhe, kaipuu
Unimaailmaan lyt
Tuo orpo lapsi karun pohjolan
Vanhempana muistaa laulun
Joka poisti pelon ja kauhun
Nyt laulaa loitsun pieneen neen
Omalle lapselleen
The lyrics of the song Shamaaninainen by Chorale describe a Shaman woman comforting a lonely child in a tent in the midst of a harsh, magical world of darkness (kaamosyh), northern lights (revontulet), and desolation (karu maa). She sings a small, comforting spell, hoping to ease the child's burden of grief and sorrow. The Shaman woman's power lies in time; she knows that it is only with time that the full effects of her magic will be seen. As she sings her song, the child falls asleep under the spell's influence, and the dark and lonely world fades away. The power of the Shaman woman's song has the power to heal and brings peace to an otherwise miserable existence.
The song Shamaaninainen is a powerful reminder of the beauty and mystery of the Shamanic practices of ancient cultures. Shamanism, in its many forms, is an ancient belief system that dates back to prehistoric times. Shamanism has been observed in many different places around the world, originating in Siberia but also extending to the Americas and the Pacific. It was a way of connecting with nature and the spirit world, using music, dance, and sacred rituals to heal, guide and empower individuals and communities. Many cultures, including those of the Inuits, Sami people, and Native Americans, still practice a form of Shamanism today.
