Cri-Cri is known as the "grillito cantor" or "the singing cricket". He is a character created by Francisco Gabilondo Soler in his childhood and may even be considered "his inner personality"
The character became so famous and gave its author such renown, that it became a second name for Gabilondo. In the mid part of the 20th century he became the most recognizable singer of children's songs in Spanish. Gabilondo's dedication to this segment of the population has been greatly admired, comparable to Walt Disney in his honest approach to making life fun for those who are getting started in life.

de cualquier aguacero
fíjate bien
lo que pasa en el cielo:
poco a poquito
se abren las nubes
y pasa el sol
por huequitos azules.
Y, si eres curiosa,
verás cupidos
color de rosa
que al agitar
sus blancas alitas
dejan sonidos
de campanitas.
cl acabar de llover,
en un rayo de sol,
van los cupidos copetones,
que sin dejar de marchar
por las nubes de plata
van buscando corazones.
Bajo el arco iris
se ven desfilar
con sus flechas listas
para disparar.
Un cupidito panzón,
por ponerse a jugar
con las gotitas de rocío,
al verse lejos
de los demás,
llorando,
va corriendo detrás.
cl acabar de llover,
en un rayo de sol,
van los cupidos copetones,
que sin dejar de marchar
por las nubes de plata
van buscando corazones.
Bajo el arco iris
se ven desfilar
con sus flechas listas
para disparar.
Un cupidito panzón,
por ponerse a jugar
con las gotitas de rocío,
al verse lejos
de los demás,
llorando,
va corriendo detrás
The lyrics to Cri-Cri's song "Desfile De Los Cupidos" depict a scene after a rain shower, where the sun starts to shine through the clouds. The song encourages the listener to pay close attention to what happens in the sky after a rain shower. As the clouds slowly clear, the sun shines through little blue holes. Then, if you're curious, you will see pink cupids waving their white wings and creating sounds like tinkling bells.
The song describes how these cupids, with their flowers on their heads, begin to march across the silver clouds, searching for hearts. Underneath the rainbow, they parade with their arrows ready to shoot. However, there is one chubby cupid who gets distracted playing with dewdrops and finds himself far away from the others, crying and running to catch up.
