Tucker, is a 22-year-old hip-hop artist from one of the most beautiful islands on earth: The Bahamas. With his Bahamian background Tucker brings a unique style to his intricate, metaphor and simile filled, rapping style. His young, ambitious, creative, high, and talented style makes his YACHTLIFE brand one that not many can duplicate.
After graduating from St. Andrews School in Nassau, Bahamas, Dwayne attended college at Savannah College of Art and Design, and thereafter transferred to Miami International University of Art and Design. Dwayne was inspired by the hustle, style, and opportunity of South Beach—one of the most musically booming cities in the world. His success as a professional photographer combined with the energy of Miami drove him to pursue his life long dream: music.
In the summer of 2011 Dwayne Tucker partnered with DJ/ Engineer, Kid Smooth and released his first mixtape, “Somewhat Good is Okay Vol 1”. In early August D. Tucker’s single and debut video “ Love It, Hate It” was released to the world. Other singles from the mixtape such as, “Get Her Back”, “The Way Things Are”, “Loves Me Not”, “Can I”, and “Long Dreaming” make up the debut mixtape. As the word spreads, D. Tucker’s music continues to reach hip-hop lovers all over Miami, making him a new sensation of the 305.
