Bustamante's breakthrough was in the TV hit Operación Triunfo. This program, similar to American Idol, broke ratings records as well as dominated the top position of the CD sales charts during its 5 month run. When the program ended in February 2002, David Bustamante was one of the three finalists.
Since then, Bustamante has released five solo albums. His first CD, Bustamante, was released in May 2002 and spent many months among the top selling CDs in Spain. He followed this with a successful summer tour with over 70 concerts throughout Spain. His second album, Asi soy yo, was released in November 2003 and was produced by music industry great Emilio Estefan. Bustamante continued with Caricias al alma and Pentimento. Furthermore, he visited Latin America to promote his music.
David Bustamante has had big success in Spain and Latin America. He has sold over 1,400,000 units. His new album Al filo de la irrealidad went platinum at the top of the Spanish charts, and it was released by Universal music, in the USA and Latin America the last 3 March 2008.
In 2008 David Bustamante became a father. His daughter's name is Daniela.

Me creen si recién hoy 29/05/2020 estando en cuarentena en Argentina vi por primera vez este video del tema este.
Lastima el video en si no condice con lo que la letra de este tema hermoso.
Pero me hubiera gustado un video acorde a la letra de la canción.
Igual me hizo recordar por allá año 2002/2003 que flash como un tema te traslada en unos segundos años atrás en un instante, es asombroso, además de los sentimientos que te vuelven también.
